What?
Hillary should have voted against Iraq war, even if Bush and Co were going to invade anyways. We need honest representatives who vote based on their conscious.
By the way, I don't believe anyone in Washington was deceived by Bush 9/11 and Iraq connection.
Senators and congressmen were afraid to vote No, so they don't look unpatriotic, since Bush arranged the American peoples' mentality in a way that if they object on any issue in the name of fighting terrorism, they will be labeled unpatriotic.
When you say that the nature of politics that candidates take swings at each other, but still friends, means they are liers. Especially that Obama and Hillary had so much policies in common, natural people, in there shoes, would focus more on agenda somehow.

I believe it speaks well for Obama that Clinton is under significant consideration for Secretary of State. Of course in the the past, the competition was fierce between the two, and it was clear their ideologies and approaches to foreign policy had differences. But unlike the previous administration, Obama refuses to be in a bubble of agreeable advisors and seeks a pool of the best and brightest without uniform feedback. If I remember correctly, Clinton was sounding the alarm back in April, 4 months prior to the invasions, on the escalating tensions in Georgia. It's not only her international acknowledgement that would be beneficial , but also her foresight. I can't say I was impressed by Jake Tapper's negative rehashing of Hillary Clinton.

hesham,
name the last two candidates who were running against each other for an election, and they "played nice?"
unfor. that is the nature of the political business.
it would be better for candidates to just get up there and tell what they will do to help people, and how they will do it. and not talk about the other candidate at all.

If Sen. Clinton were as BAD as many of you say, she would not be in such demand
by all political people.
You know why she is still a major player
because she is smart, and she knows her business.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, will always be current in any market.
so all of you haters, just keep hating
her, and she will continue to do the good work she has always tried to do.
many men and women are envious of her
just because she is smart and she stands up for herself.
if you want to blame anyone for the war,
blame the times 9/11 and Bush and Co.
it just goes to show just how POWERFUL
many of YOU think she is (although, you run her down).
You really believe after 9/11, and that LYING BUSH and his crew, having told the american people, and that includes sen. clinton, that iraq and 9/11 were connected, that sen. clinton, a sen. from NEW YORK.-
and you really believe, if she had voted against going to war, the war would not have happened.
that is what you say, when you say-She invaded iraq.
Bush and Co. invaded iraq.
i will say it again, sen. clinton, is smart, she knows her business, and she is at the top of her game.
she will always be current, in any market.
obama knows sen. clinton is more qualified to be president that he is.
obama know how smart sen. clinton is.
obama is not smarter than sen. clinton.
obama and co. just figured out a way to out smart sen. clinton.
there is a bit of a difference.

Hillary would be a better Secretary of Health and Human Services, but I think she would decline the position to stay in the Senate.
Secretary of State?
I don't know... In recent history, Kissinger has been the only relatively successful SOS.

Also, how could two candidates who obviously had no respect for each other in their face off primary, suddenly be too nice and friendly to each other !!!!!!
Were they acting to deceive the American people ? I believe so.
Both Obama and Hillary are too partisan to improve the US.
Evidence: Obama ignored calls from highly respected analysts, who are independent, to appoint well qualified candidates to different posts in his administration.

I agree with don that Hillary has questionable character traits that were obvious in the primaries.
Did you, commentators, forget that she gave her "GO AHEAD
" to invade Iraq !!!!!!
I said before that Mr. Obama brings no change to Washington politics. It was obvious that he is a guy who changes positions on issues to win at any cost.
But, GOP nominee was very bad in other aspects !!!
The two party system proved to be a totl failure.

You're left to wonder if Obama truly believes that Hillary can play nice within his administration. Does she have more concern for her legacy or for political advancement and opportunity? Question, questions...

Go girl.

Jake,
why is this II? Isn't it the same report as before?

don
the primaries are over
Clinto may have been an advisary in a competition for the job but it's done...
she wants to help and be known for helping...
there is absolutely no argument that holds water (and everyone knows I wasn't a Clinton fan during the primaries) that she is not the overwhelmingly best choice for a President who puts ability ahead of competition and bolgone...
this should reassure a lot of people that Obama is putting a lot of money where his mouth has been.
nobody will be a better person to walk through the door when it is time to negotiate on behalf of Obama and the US.

I think it is a perfect pick for Obama to pick Hillary as a secrary of state. It is wonderful to see her back, just like a dream come true.

Let me be the first to point out a couple things that a lot of people seem to have the ability to block out of their memory or lack the common sense to figure out: just up until last summer Hillary couldn't tell us enough bad things about Obama and why he was unqualified to be president. Now all of a sudden, not only does she find him qualified but wants to work for him? That was a quick change of spots for Hillary. Does Hillary even know what she truly believes anymore? Does she have a position other than: get as high up in the government as possible as quickly as possible at any cost? Also, can I point out her complete lack of integrity and character as evidenced by getting her hand caught in the cookie jar many times during the primaries such as planting people in the audience at press conferences to ask preprepared questions? She shouldn't be in a position of power in our government. She should be so embarrased and ashamed by her actions at her age that she should lock herself in the house and stay there. But no, I guess a souless, lying, manipulating, opportunist is rewarded in our country with a position that gives her enough power to take us to war and affect international relations. People we are so far gone, it's not even worth discussing anymore actually.
