Thanks for the Endorsement, Dick

November 01, 2008 1:30 PM

At a get out the vote rally in Laramie, Wyoming, today, Vice President Dick Cheney heralded the McCain-Palin ticket.

DICK CHENEY: And in three days we'll choose a new steward for the presidency and begin a new chapter in our history. It’s the biggest decision that we make together as Americans. A lot turns on the outcome. I believe the right leader for this moment in history is Senator John McCain. John is a man who understands the danger facing America. He’s a man who has looked into the face of evil and not flinched. He’s a man who’s comfortable with responsibility and has been since he joined the armed forces at the age of 17. He’s earned our support and confidence, and the time is now to make him commander-in-chief. I’m delighted to support John McCain and I’m pleased that he's chosen a running mate with executive talent, toughness and common sense, our next vice president in Sarah Palin.

Needless to say, the ones sending this information around are not Republicans but Democrats.

I would be surprised if Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., did not pounce on this public endorsement by the man who is not the most popular vice president in the history of this nation at his next event in Pueblo, Colorado.

Senator Obama has the endorsement of General Colin Powell. John McCain counters with the endorsement of - Cheney? It's like getting an endorsement from Darth Vader.

Perhaps we should be more concerned about the age of McCain’s ideas not his real age. Cheney endorsed a man who shares those ideas of defining international relations within the confines of the cold war. They are yet to learn that the cold war has ended. The support is not surprising. But what the world needs now is moral power and ethical persuasion not military power and bombs. McCain reminds me of Rip Van Winkle…he has slept too long in the Senate.

The lies and hypocrisy that run through the McCain/Palin campaign is unprecedented. John McCain said he would run a clean campaign...LIE! Sarah Palin called Senator Obama "Un-American" when she and her husband were (are) in bed with the Independence Party of Alaska, fighting for the secession of Alaska from the United States...HYPOCRISY! Sarah Palin stated that she would have no problem releasing her medical records and tax returns...LIE! John McCain attacks Senator Obama for alleged ties to Kahlidi, when it was a McCain chaired organization that donated a half a million dollars to Mr. Kahlidi...HYPOCRISY! Palin accused Senator Obama of running a dirty campaign...BOTH A LIE AND HYPOCRISY!! Does anyone else notice a trend developing here? Please don't waste your vote on a desperate campaign that will say and do anything to get elected. I don't care how long McCain has fought for our country, I don't care how many planes Palin has sold, I'm supporting a TRUE AMERICAN, BARACK OBAMA!!! A man with the wisdom, foresight, and commitment to lead this country back on a track of righteousness. GOD BLESS YOU MR. OBAMA AND MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
(As it pertains to good ole' Johnny boy and his side kick 'Walin Palin')
"Together they seek to spread fear and invoke hate among the masses.
In their quest for power they will ignore the light of truth shining on the deeds and words they proclaim.
But take heart, for throughout the land the seekers of light shall rise up and not be fooled.”
Can I get an amen?

VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN ON NOV 4th

Cheney killed GOP chances this year as well as the civil American spirit for the past 8 years. Don't McCain-Palin Republicans know better than to let the crazy uncle out of the attic?

Seriously! The funniest title of any article this year!!!

Posted by: Justin | Nov 1, 2008 5:12:22 PM

I don't think McCain wants or needs Cheney's endorsement.

McCain had Cheney replaced during the torture negotiations with the congress with Hadley.

It is well known McCain used to go the white house and go after Cheney over his idiotic position on torture.

McCain and Cheney can't stand eachother.

Cheney is trying to hurt McCain.

Posted by: Jeff | Nov 1, 2008 4:19:14 PM

McCain said negotiating with Cheney about torture was like negotiating with Bonnie and Clyde.

What are they thinking. Is this another Joe the Plumber moment?

Oh WOW Congrats to the McCain campaign!! Way to pull in the big endorsements!!

Posted by: Clint | Nov 1, 2008 2:55:16 PM

I think Palin has the makings of a perfect Cheney vice-president. She wants to increase the powers of vp to include taking over the senate, make policy and policy decisions. She's more charismatic and brings in larger crowds than McCain, taking over, if you will, just as Cheney has done with Bush. Yeah, she'll be just great as a Cheney clone.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

Not the Grim Reaper himself!! LOL!!

Posted by: Famuan | Nov 1, 2008 2:06:57 PM

Now if Cheny likes her omg no way

Posted by: TRUE AMERICAN FOR OBAMA/BIDEN | Nov 1, 2008 2:06:25 PM

I bet Cheney does like Sarah Palin as a VP choice. I would imagine he loves the way she avoids the media, scorns the media, and attacks the media. I would imagine he's a big fan of the way she abused her power in Alaska. Good training, eh Mr. Cheney?

Palin is a startling combination of arrogance and ignorance. And in that way she may actually be worse than Cheney. When Cheney stretched the authority of the office of VP he did it knowingly. Palin would do it, just thinking she had the right.
