The DaPalin Code
November 13, 2008 5:11 PM
Asked by CNN's Wolf Blitzer if she had any new initiatives to introduce to the Republican Governors' Association to help the GOP out of its rut, Gov. Sarah Palin yesterday said:
"Sitting here in these chairs that I’m going to be proposing but in working with these governors who again on the front lines are forced to and it’s our privileged obligation to find solutions to the challenges facing our own states every day being held accountable, not being just one of many just casting votes or voting present every once in a while, we don’t get away with that. We have to balance budgets and we’re dealing with multibillion dollar budgets and tens of thousands of employees in our organizations."
What does that mean?
Writing at the American Conservative, Daniel Larson says he's cracked the Palin code:
"I have concluded that the problem that so many people have in understanding what Palin is saying is that we make the mistake of assuming that all of the words have some reason for being there," Larson writes. "What we have to do instead is decrypt her message by filtering out all of the confusing chatter that keeps her statements encoded and difficult to follow. Let’s take the first sentence, and identify the essential elements in bold:
"Sitting here in these chairs that I’m going to be proposing but in working with these governors who again on the front lines are forced to and it’s our privileged obligation to find solutions to the challenges facing our own states every day being held accountable, not being just one of many just casting votes or voting present every once in a while, we don’t get away with that.
"See? If you just cut out about 60 percent of what she says, it hangs together nicely. By comparison, the second sentence is a piece of cake. Pretty much every word in the second sentence serves a function. Once reporters and voters acquire sufficient training in Palinonics, there should be no more misunderstandings."
Writing in Slate last month, Kitty Burns Florey set out to diagram Palin's sentences.
She got lost in this one from the Charlie Gibson interview: "I know that John McCain will do that and I, as his vice president, families we are blessed with that vote of the American people and are elected to serve and are sworn in on January 20, that will be our top priority is to defend the American people."
Writes Florey: "To me, it's not English -- it's a collection of words strung together to elicit a reaction, floating ands and prepositional phrases ("with that vote of the American people") be damned. It requires not a diagram but a selection of push buttons."

Stringer you think it's bad now but it's nothing compared to what it's going to be when Obama implements his spread the wealth program! You won't have anything left at all for your retirement! It'll all be in Obama's government fund and everyone's 401ks and IRAs will be cleaned out and the accounts closed! 401ks and IRAs will be things of the past!

Correct carlyonsue,
Let's see and wait on how he can hocus-focus the current economic downturn and high inflation rate this coming year of his inauguration.
Flattering words can not and will not resolve the bankruptcy of poor capitalists who mismanaged their investment due to high competition against cheapest Chinese products and other third world countries.

...raided your 401ks and your IRAs and deposited your money in a government fund and left you nothing for your retirement...

News flash, George Bush did that already. That's why the majority of Americans are begging Obama to take over.

I think that before Obama's term is over Sarah Palin will seem like a genius to you Obama supporters after he has raided your 401ks and your IRAs and deposited your money in a government fund and left you nothing for your retirement and not done half of the things that he promised! You'll regret voting for him and turn on him and start calling for his impeachment! Your love affair with him and your honeymoon with him will definitely be over and you'll be BEGGING Sarah Palin to run for president in 2012!

The woman can ramble on and on without ever answering the question.
BLITZER: Should the U.S. government, the federal government bail out the Detroit -- the big three automakers?
PALIN: Oh, that is the discussion of the day. And there is going to come a point here where absolutely the federal government must play an appropriate role in shoring up some of these industries that are hurting and will ultimately hurt our entire economy and the world's economy if there aren't some better decisions being made.
But we also have to start shifting some debate here in our country and start talking about personal responsibility and responsibility of management in some of these corporations and companies so that from henceforth it's not assumed that the federal government is going to be bailing out everybody who is going to soon line up, Wolf, for more taxpayer assistance.
And I'm talking about personal responsibility too in terms of homeowners and in terms of folks who maybe have extended their own credit. Sure, predatory lenders are to blame in all of this also, but we have got to make sure, for instance, we're not talked into buying a $300,000 house, because really we know we can only afford a $100,000 house.
And we've got to start living those lessons that we try to teach our children in terms of not living beyond our means and extending our own personal credit to the point of not being able to pay our monthly bills and then expecting government to grow and be the answer.
BLITZER: So, sorry, I'm still waiting for the answer, should the government bail out the big three automakers?

Sarah Palin blessed the secessionists and slept with an AIP member for 7 years.

seansatx: Every word that Sarah Palin said about Obama associating with thugs like Bill Ayers and Louis Farakkhan is true! It's also true that he sat and listened to his racist pastor Jeremiah Wright every Sunday for 20 years and claims he didn't hear his sermons! So exactly what did Sarah Palin say that wasn't true? And as far as all of us Sarah Palin supporters being idiots, according to you, we are not! My own IQ is 129! I am no genius, and I don't claim to be, but I am above average and not a idiot! I also carried a B GPA in high school and an A in college!

She received her reckoning day to her destiny and legacy on Nov 4, 2008, so she does not have to wait until 2012. In four years, there is no telling who will the be the front runner for the GOP. Who would have thought in 2004 that an African-American would be elected President? Did you? Time goes on and time is not going to wait on Sarah Palin to get educated enough to speak in complete sentences. ;-)

Beg you pardon, my typing lesson almost expired now so i need someone to help me to refresh the key words in every tips of my fingers.
Good day folks time to relax and to unwind my overloaded borderline IQ! God Bless.

Sove the problems DaveM,
Witch-hunters are roaming around in and out in the world wide web to discredit Gov. Sarah and hyperlink superhighway http continuously surfing an up-to-date out of context issues against her innocence.
McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky 2009 are one of the best code-breaker to stop cognitive bias judgment and obsess immaturity.

You know DeAndria Mitchell, i'm not a partisan but i'm only curious about how the print and mass media practitioners had been so obsessed to Sarah Palin.
You know what i mean, they can fabricate things out of context and put it in a front page newsbulletin so those ordinary folks can read it clearly.
In fairness to Sarah, her critics and mongering minds still alive and kicking in order to destroy her innerself and dignity.
Of course, those concerned who loves and believe with Gov. Sarah still and have faith with her longing. Her vision to put the Oval Office in a prosperous and respected household of around 301,139,947M (July 2007 estimate)Americans is a dream come true.
2012 is a reckoning day to her destiny and legacy to rule the broken-hearted and less fortunate fellow man!

To be or not to be! Asking a person IQ Bea, really is a prostrated action and unknowingly ignorant in up-to-date circumstances.

To me,. Sarah Palin represents someone who has a complete lack of knowledge that is obvious to everyone but herself. When she answers a questions, she dazzles the person asking the question with so many words that the person becomes lost in the words and does not realize that she HAS NOT ANSWERED the question. That is not showing knowledge, that is showing that you know how to BS your way around anything. Most of the questions that Palin has been asked by reporters can be answered in one sentence and she runs off this whole charade of BS that winds up being nonsense when you actually READ what she said as an answer to the question.

Yap DeAndria Mitchell,
Sarah P. is like an Obamamometer to measure uncontrolled abnormally elevated blood pressure of a person who cannot control their temper and emotions.
Sometimes it will become difficult to use it if a person doesn't know a technical know-how to handle this equipment.
She's like an Obamamometer with simple spec's, but full of usefullness in patient care facilities.

If you read what I wrote, you will realize that I was making a joke...kinda like Palin is a JOKE. ;-)

"She is a politician, surely she should be able to speak so she can be understood?"
Of course Jwench, simple arithmitic yah.... if you can not understand her, it's better for you to draw it by your imagination and you will understand what she's talking about.
If you're not convince in her flattering words, it's up to you but never under estimate her IQ.
If you are expert in drawing, you'll understand the world of politics. This is like a showbiz, you can not please everybody!

Ha ha, good one Yawn, I got your joke (the first time I read it).

Ah Ha! The facts are now becomming evident, Stringer. There are now two of you traveling on the same cosmic wave length. Careful there, you could collide with a planet.
