PEBO Speaks to Rice
December 27, 2008 5:45 PM
An Obama transition aide tells ABC News that President-elect Obama spoke by phone today with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to discuss the situations in Gaza and in South Asia.
The call lasted approximately eight minutes and was initiated by the president-elect, who is vacationing in Hawaii with his family.
The president-elect appreciated the call and the information from Secretary Rice, the transition aide says, adding that Obama will continue to closely monitor these and other global events.

This one bothers me. We should be sending a strong message to both parties that this type of behavior is unacceptable. We should squeeze both sides. I personally am an ally of both sides, not one. Obama could always speak up in favor of peace, whether or not he's been inaugurated. He dissappointed many today.

WestCoastMessenger ,
Your an "ally of both sides" ???
interesting position to take in the this one. So exactly what solution do you have for this? This battle has rages for centuries, and every world leader shoots off his mouth and wants to "bring peace to the region". It is a very admiral goal, but reality has to enter in the equation as well. Our policy cannot be formed to the hope that groups who have hated for this long are just going to run for the olive branches. So long as there are terrorist groups in the middle east whose primary reason for exisiting is to destroy Israel, there will be no lasting peace. History has shown this.

PEBO? Seriously? Just using Obama would have been fine. It's not cute, it's just unclear.

Obama is a disappointment to all.

Obama has spoken in favor of peace many times, you appear quite ignorant of his very public policy positions (did you listen to anything at all he said in the wake of his Israel trip?). It would be entirely inappropriate for him to speak at this time - President Bush is the international spokesman for America, even if he has chosen to stick to his vacation rather than comment.

from someone who currently has little respect for Appointed One, he will get my ear if He decides to take a hard stand against Hamas.

I agree that Belle Starr should be investigated--that comment sounds like a threat.

The only color PEBO has is from the Kenyan father who deserted him. PEBO was raised white and has a caucasian mother. :)

I am an Independent, and I thank Bush for many wise decisions! I think in the long run history will treat him very well!
On the other hand, PEBO, the Chicago bred, palm-greasing politician does not inspire confidence at all!
Saul Alinskey's son claims his father, the community organizer who wrote "Rules for Radicals," gave PEBO the tools to win the election. PEBO himself said Alinsky was his best teacher! :(
PEBO is no Messiah, Jesus/Yeshua is the authentic one, and PEBO idolatry will not bode well for the dems! :(

Hurry up Jan 20th so Obama and team can stop saying that their is one president at a time and actually show us what they are gonna do, and stop defering to a president who is not gonna do anything and is clearly bidding his time until he is outta there.

Go George, wait and let the messiah show us just how smart he is. He does photo-ops best of all. Maybe a good photo will cure all ills.

Belle Star
Maybe you should be under investigation by the FBI!

Obama dont have a clue about Hamas and the Israel problem. I think Blago would be a better president.Obama is a big mistake, and more and more people see that allready.

Right on, Joe!!! Can't agree with on Blago, but folks did make a mistake.
He will sit down and talk with them; that will resolve the problem that they have been facing since their beginning...just took an election in the USA of the missiah to take care of their problem. As for hillary, she can't keep her husband happy, sure she will be able to conquer the world problems.

Joe: Your opinion of our President elect is in the small minority within our country, thankfully. INTELLECT and careful thought will soon be residing in the white house. Out with bumbling idiots who made themselves evident by their small minded, poor choices and selfish agenda pushing for the few. There is a new shift in our country that is for the people and by the people. A president who is for the people!? So refreshing after an administration who were out for themselves and their friends and didn't give a damn what we thought (just ask Cheney). Its only too bad and so sad that you don't understand what is good for you or our country. As a compassionate person, I have tremendous pity for a fool.

I hope the rumors and rumblings about what Hillary is getting ready to do to the state department is true. Special envoys to deal with this mess in the middle east. Hurry up Jan 20th so Obama and team can stop saying that their is one president at a time and actually show us what they are gonna do, and stop defering to a president who is not gonna do anything and is clearly bidding his time until he is outta there.

"Obama does not speak for the United States until noon January 20th."
IF then.
Posted by: Belle Starr | Dec 28, 2008 11:26:07 AM
I see from todays headlines that he didn't solve the problem in those lengthy 8 minutes! Maybe if he had talked for 9 minutes....

/Too bad we didn't elect Condi as president. She is more intelligent, more worldly, and harder working than Obama will ever be/
Lol...and the vocl minority want us to take them serious, lawl....

bel,
he is right in not saying anything.
bush is still the president.
i know you can hardly wait for obama to be president. i can't either, but you and i must hold on until obama is sworn in.
and then he can speak as much as he wants,
and then we can critize him.
but right now, bel, the baton is still in george bushes hand, and we should be outraged at not hearing more and sooner from bush.

yes we know what bho has done,
he has become president-elect of the united states of america
the first person of color.
and will be sworn in as the 44th president on jan. 20th.
tr, where have you been for the last
3months, sorry, you missed it, we had a wonderful spirited primary between obama and sen. clinton. but in the end she lost, and threw all of her support behind obama, and obama with the help of the clinton, beat mccain.
obama will be the next president of the usa.-and that is a lot

As Donald Trump said about Condi -- she couldn't make a deal for a beer and a sandwhich. I think that really does sum up her 8 years. Does anyone know what she has done?
