Ros-Lehtinen's Hang-Up on PEBO
December 04, 2008 11:14 AM
You have to give Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., credit for handling it with some humor.
"You are a very good Obama impersonator," she says she told the President-elect, "much better than that guy on 'Saturday Night Live.'"

Yavo Lemo -- don't hold your breath for a phone call from . . . well, anyone. You are clearly an idiot and a conspiracy theorist.
I'm guessing you'll be camped outside tonight waiting to see an alien spaceship fly by. Good luck with that, and with your Obama-isn't-an-American conspiracy. We're all having a good laugh at your expense.

I think it's all pretty funny. After the Palin punk, I'm sure Ross-whatever was worried about looking like as big a loser as Sarah Palin. Personally, I don't think that's even possible.
She and Obama both get kudos for handling it with humor.

Just so you note, you haven't reported any news today, only recycled yesterday's news (Rendell v Napolitalo and Obama v Ros-Lehtinen... all yesterday's news). I believe this is the first time that has happened since I started visiting your blog. I certainly hope you will not make a habit of it.
Regards,

Jake, could you take it easy with "PEBO"? it's third-grade and amateurish. you are a professional journalist. the president elect takes your questions and you don't call he "PEBO" to his face. what gives? Yavo Lem, do you mean you think Obama didn't "win" the election. you don't like him, so he can't be president? has anyone ever made fun of your name? i assume (if you are an adult, which we have no way of knowing) that you know it's not cool to make fun of people's names. if you have children do you really want to be a role model by teaching them to make fun of others instead of being civil?

Jenny - It's the media capitalizing on this inconsequential piece of news. They also appear to be perpetuating the ridiculous association between Obama and radio jocks in Montreal.

Give her a break. What would you do if someone claiming to be Obama were to call you and you were a Republican?

It's yucky stuff. It's Good Morning America with a half cup of sugar in your coffee.
