Tucker Carlson, Unplugged
January 07, 2009 9:57 PM
The MSNBCer chats in Pennsylvania about how President-elect Obama is mature -- "He really doesn't like Hillary Clinton and he appointed her anyway. He's an adult" -- the Obamaniacs are headed for a letdown.
"The expectations are unsustainable. When he is inaugurated in two and a half weeks and the lame don't walk and the blind don't see, there's going to be some gravely disappointed Starbucks baristas out there," Carlson said.
Also of note: "The love the press felt for Barack Obama is like the love that you really have to be a 14-year-old boy to understand," Carlson said.
And speaking of MSNBC and Pennsylvania, it looks like Chris Matthews will not be running for Senate there. The cable host told his producers today he isn't going to run, the Los Angeles Times reports.

"My fondest memory of Tucker Carlson is the day that Jon Stewart so utterly humiliated him for being such a miserable failure as a journalist that it closed down CNN's Crossfire forever."
That was amazing.
2nd best was when Hillary gave him a shoe cake.

The media has softened greatly on Obama after his election. People tend to forget or ignore (Tucker) the nonstop press coverage for Obama during the election.
The media goes with what gets ratings and viewers, such as flag pins, Rev Wright, Ayers, is Obama arrogant, Obama's diet, etc. Until the last month or two the media ignored McCain's nonstop lies and let his campaign feed them negative coverage on Obama.
McCain had plenty of dirt, but Obama was new and interesting. McCain was old and boring.
Many people have unrealistic expectations of Obama. People need to give him some space and not expect instant solutions.
Obama is facing one of the most difficult and complex situations than any President has ever inherited.

You know it would be nice if Hillary and Obama really liked each other but that's not necessary. They only have to respect each other and that I think they do.

Tucker Carlson is right. It is going to be a problem between Obama, Hillary, and Bill Clinton. Glad to hear that Chris Matthews is not going to run. I am not fan of Matthews and I don't like his show anymore on MSNBC TV. They are such a 'liar'.

How does Tucker know that Obama does not personally like Hilliary? Did Obama or Michelle tell him that?
More sour grapes from the GOP. Get over it, our guy won.

Interesting watching all these anti-Obama propagandists so eager to come up with any bit of dirt on Obama . ... and coming up with so little.
Reduced primarily to name calling and catch phrases; 'zombies', 'children', 'idiots', ect.
Sad to see such shallow thought and such poor propaganda.

Obama said, he will spread the wealth. America will be just like Cuba.

I say Olbermann cries on the 20th.

of course anyone that paints a realistic picture of Obama and his administration is not worth anything according to the bots, if you are not of their zombie like way of thinking what you have to say does not matter. What children. And thank God that drooling idiot Matthews is not running for anything, he is a total disgrace to media.

At some point in the next 3.5 years Olbermann weeps on air. Takers?
Posted by: BertieW | Jan 8, 2009 12:13:07 AM
I never liked Carlson but it is true, Obama can not live up to the hype.

Why would you waste space and time with Carolson's inanities?
Posted by: Gail | Jan 7, 2009 11:06:25 PM
Carlson and Matthews are perfectly placed where their opinions don't matter. Let's keep it that way, woudn't you say?

Tucker Carlson unplugged? How about under powered instead. How many TV jobs has he been sacked from anyway?
Posted by: keller | Jan 7, 2009 10:59:37 PM
Why would anyone care what Carlson has to say?
