Upon arriving in Canada this morning, President Obama was greeted by morning papers singing his praises, with his image splashed on their front pages.
“OBAMA ENVY” –- the Ottawa Sun said in boldface font, in an article explaining that the majority of Canadians would pick President Obama over the current Prime Minister, or any of the opposition leaders.
“DEAR MR. PRESIDENT: WE’RE CONFUSED AND WE NEED YOUR HELP,” the front page of The Globe and Mail read, showing a picture of a woman carrying a life-size cut out of Obama through the streets of Ottawa.
The Ottawa Sun questions “HOW LONG WILL THE LOVE AFFAIR LAST?” -- mentioning local merchants' hopes to capitalize on the U.S. presidents' popularity by selling “Pizza Obama,” and “Obama Hawaiian Punch.”
