Candidate Obama Hits the Trail
March 18, 2009 9:36 AM
Air Force One flies President Obama to California today for two town hall meetings where the president will sell his economic policies and express outrage about the AIG retention bonuses.
Additionally, in an e-mail to his 13-million-plus supporters, President Obama today pitched his budget in a Web video.
"The budget President Obama has proposed isn't the same old document Washington has come to expect year after year," writes former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe in the e-mail. "Right now, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to finally confront the systemic problems that have held America back for far too long in energy, health care and education.
"But it's up to you to get involved and make it happen," Plouffe continues. "Join a canvass this weekend and talk with everyone you know about the president's plan to secure long-term prosperity for our families. After watching the president's video, you can also look up your elected representatives and let them know you support this new foundation for economic growth."
It's yet another indication -- along with the town meetings in California, an appearance on "Jay Leno" tomorrow and "60 Minutes" on Sunday-- of how Mr Obama is returning to campaign mode to sell his policies.
The town halls will be at the Orange County Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa, Calif., at 4 pm PDT today, and at the Miguel Contreras Learning Complex in Los Angeles at 1:10 pm PDT Thursday.

Professors? Professors? Never met one that didn't impress me with his/her knowledge. Never met one thet didn't impress me with his/her lack of wisdom. High knowledge levels are readily obtainable by those not constricted by the neeed to actually DO things that contribute to society. These liberal left wing professors are unabashedly proud that they are able to bend the young and immature minds of our youth. Such a worthy accomplishment!

Obama is Un-American.

Of Course Obama is " Campaigning for 2012" - He knows he's a fraud but he keeps trying to full America into voteing twice for him - Like America voted twice for Bush!

A case of Obama doing what Obama does best. He won't know what to do when he leaves the White House. There won't be any more campaigning to be done!

I have seen enough of him already. No need to have him intrude into my late night routine.

If there were ever a doubt that our educational system is a failure, one need only read the comments made here by our friends on the left. Our President, thanks to them, is an empty suit on permanent campaign mode. His cult members are empty heads on permanent delusion mode. Reality is a concept the left is incapable of dealing with, so they live in their fantasy land despite evidence contrary to their belief system. If Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, I think it is clear that the left are truly insane...as well as delusional, naive, gullible, child-like, ignorant and fun to watch.
I encourage all of our friends on the left to keep it up! You Rock! If they maintin their present course, the grown ups will have an easy time of saving the country from the "Children of the (A)Corn"

"hits the trail"???
Is it that time again already?!
Oh, wait. It's the era of the perpetual political campaign...forgot.

Once again, we see that the political establishment is terrified that the people are going to get involved. The establishment media do their best to make the issues seem as obscure as possible, evade the issue by trumpeting right wing talking points, and now try to belittle the potential involvement of the people in their democracy.

It has become very apparent that The Community Organizer if POTUS in name only. He clearly has demonstrated he enjoys the title and the perks (and the big payday awaiting him when his term is served) but does not interest any interest in governing. He is a puppet.
This being said, who is actually calling the shots? Axelrod? Emanuel? Michelle?

I hope one of the thirteen million comes to tell me about the budget (not really).

"On the road again, can't wait to get...
.............." The peripatetic rock
star leaves the sterile confines of
D.C. to wow the idiots again. Wouldn't
be surprised to see him pumping gas
for a down-'n-outer in a photo op.
The teleprompters would be artfully
concealed on both sides of the pump.

Hope he brings along some spare telepromters.
I heard he has NASA designing him a new ultra-light, halographic telepromter that projects his speeches in mid-air from his belt buckle.

What a slap to the American peoples face, this guy is the most unqualified elected official in history and instead of attempting to do his job or at least learn it, he goes back to campaigning. What a fraud!!!
***************************************
What an idiotic staTement, Slap in the face? The public likes him. The public likes their leader to be among them to identify with them, to talk with them, directly.
It is no secret that the press in DC dominates the news, it and washington thrive on each other, for us to have a chance he needs to deal with us.
To hell with the press and Washington.

"But she's on a propaganda hate channel, so rational people can see thru her and the other hate-filled bigots that are there."
Yes because at FoxNews you can get the GOP talking points read directly to you.
You don;t even have to wait for the email!

"Saying Rachel Maddow's show is calm and reasoned dialogue ."
Compared to the other cable shouters?
Have you ever watched her show?
Posted by: Ryan C | Mar 18, 2009 5:52:30 PM
"Her ratings are terrific, eh?
Glenn Beck just kills her.."
I didn't say anything about her ratings but she's doubled them in under a year.
But what a shock you would love Glenn Beck who's on the level of morning talking points reader Steve Doocey just with more anger.

Candidate Obama...hahaha
feeding the animals eh Tap?

Saying Rachel Maddow's show is calm and reasoned dialogue is like saying she's pretty, attractive, and patriotic. You can claim it all you want but that doesn't make it so. But she's on a propaganda hate channel, so rational people can see thru her and the other hate-filled bigots that are there.

That's what McCain said and Obama mocked him for it.
Obama is a miserable hypocrite.
***************
Actually, Dr. John, Obama made a qualified, limited statement that aspects of the economy are sound.
McCain indicated that the entire set of fundamentals of the economy are strong.
I believe it would be fair to notice that these are two very different statements.

"CAPS OR NO CAPS, RYAN C...YOU CANT DISPUTE THE FACTS."
The facts are that Obama has no intention of reinstating the Fairness Doctrine and the Senate (with heavy Democratic backing) has moved to restrict the ability of regulators to impose such restrictions.
But hey why should I ruin a right wing delusion with facts.
So much better to remain afraid of non existent boogie men.
