Oh, That Joe! (No. 48 in a Series) -- Gimme a Break
March 13, 2009 5:40 PM
At an event at Union Station today where Vice President Joe Biden was heralding the $1.3 billion in investments in rebuilding train stations and passenger rails, a microphone picked up one of the former senator's myriad Senate colleagues addressing him, formally, as "Mr. Vice President."
That met with Vice President Biden's standard reply.
"Gimme a f*&$#ing break," he said, apparently unaware that the microphone was on.

Well I admire Joe Biden very much - read his book sometime - a great read. I was disappointed he didn't take the Sec. of State job, he's better suited for it. Already I fear he will just languish in the VP spot - so NOT him. Early days yet - I'm hoping that will change. But I agree, not a fan of the profanity.

I personally use similar language daily, and I looked the other way when Bush and Cheney had open mic issues, but because Biden is on the other team I feel I must condemn his behavior as immoral.

Profanity is an attempt by a weak mind to express itself forcefully.

To the gentleman who objected to the characterization of high costs by illegals. Did you notice that 80% of the foreclosures are from 5 states of which 4 are high 'immigrant' states? In Colorado where we have a fairly high illegal immigrant population, there is evidence to suggest that the bulk of the foreclosures are in fact 'immigrants' who never intended to actually make payments, but have found 'buying' a no-down payment house to be much better than paying rent. Pay once or twice a year, and you've got a house for up to 5 years! Dumb gringos. They're just asking to be ripped off.

My Dad taught me that use of Profanity and/or obscenity was a sure sign of insecurity. Joe means well, but is in way over his head - he not only has his own ideas, but needs to carefully temper them with Obama's position.

Hey, how about the time that ol' Joe told the perky Katie Couric that FDR went on television in 1929 to address the nation about the financial crisis. Which is odd because FDR was not president in 1929 & there was no television. Katie seemed too stunned to respond.

"Stand up Chuck!" says ol' Joe to the man in the wheelchair. Biden is a joke & Obama should gag him any time he is near a mike. The thing is that if Biden didn't exist we would have to invent him just for the comic relief. It's great having Yosemite Sam as Vice-President.

biden is just acting out like any #2 would do. i mean, how would you like to be bringing coffee and doughnuts to a young black dude and having to call him mr. president? painful pill, that. one thing for sure, whoever runs for his senate seat on the "R" side gets my unwavering support. by god, there will be no biden jr. in my state of delaware. the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. and this is a poison apple.

Finally, someone said it.
“sad for Us” just said:
“We have too many Henriettas and Julios in the United States that just want the Government to take care of them.”
So it was Hispanics (code word: illegal aliens) who caused this economic mess, of course!!!
While they weren’t busy harvesting our produce for slave wages, they must have been buying expensive houses they could not afford from liberal socialist bankers.
It’s soo obvious, How did I miss that!!!
