White Sox, and Tiger Woods Tour the White House

ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports: In a very sports-filled day at the White House – President Obama met briefly with members of the Chicago White Sox and Tiger Woods in two separate short meetings.

Members of the Chicago White Sox – who are in town Monday in advance of their game Tuesday with the Baltimore Orioles -along with team officials and family members, received a White House tour this afternoon. While a meeting the President was not scheduled on the tour – according to a White House aide –the president had time set on his personal schedule to greet his hometown team.

Obama is after all a well documented White Sox fan –regularly donning a black Sox hat on trips to the gym in Chicago, and upon arriving in DC to live reaffirmed that a change in city didn’t change his baseball team loyalty.

The president was presented with a White Sox jersey – with Obama #1 – on the back, and posed for pictures surrounded by players and their families.

Additionally – another sports-star at the White House today: golfer Tiger Woods. White House aides confirm that the president also made a few minuets to meet with Woods to say a brief hello, and Woods was then taken on a White House tour by an aide.
