Bienvenue Pour les Filles de Obama!
June 05, 2009 8:01 PM
From Karen Travers:
PARIS -- First lady Michelle Obama and her daughters, Malia and Sasha, stopped by the most famous landmark in Paris today, making a visit to the Eiffel Tower.
Onlookers lined up outside the tower's exits to try and catch a peek of the first family. When they finally did leave the Parisian landmark, Mrs. Obama waved to the crowd and a man greeted them with a "bonjour!"
The Obama girls traveled with their mom to Paris to join the president for the weekend and see the sights and sounds of Europe, an aide said.
The first lady will join President Obama at the ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the D-Day invasion Saturday. She is expected to stay in Paris for a few days and play tourist with her daughters while her husband travels back to Washington on Sunday.

President Obama inherited the biggest mess imaginable and he works 24-7 on it. Nice to see him get even a few moments with his family in Paris. They do us proud.

How great to see this fine family in Paris getting a warm reception from the locals. After all the damage of the Bush years this family visit will help to shine our tarnished image in the world. I'm glad if my taxes are going toward lifting our international esteem. We need the good will of Europe and the Muslim nations to bring about a more peaceful and prosperous world.
Have a bon time in Paris!

Umm this is no vacation.
Where was the president while this was going on?
WORKING! That's what I elected him to do. Like you need to be doing...go mow your yard and let the smart people run things.

How sweet! Obama having the whole family along for a lovely holiday in France at the American taxpayers' expence. I knew he's be using the US treasury as his personal bank account. They're all quiet about the cost of their Broadway/Dinner in Manhatten date as well (which we paid for). I'm neither democrat or republican, so don't blame me; this man is a horrible joke.

In the summer Paris has more Americans than Parisians, the Obamas will be home

Good for them. It will be a trip the girls will long remember. I hope they have a happy and safe visit. Hey Michelle make certain to wave and smile big for the haterz that love to throw mud at your glorious wings. You have worked long and hard to provide a nice life for your family. You are damned if you do and damned if you don't. Live it up!

How ironic. There was once another first lady in Paris, living in the lap of luxury, while outside the palace gates the common people were living in the misery of an economic melt down. I wonder if they flew in on a "private jet"?

Hope they have a wonderful time! The family needs some down time after the grueling primaries, election and all the issues our President is facing! Enjoy!
