Asked What He Doesn’t Like About Himself, President Obama Cites His Golf Game
July 05, 2009 1:30 PM
MOSCOW -- In his first interview with Russian media, President Obama was asked, "what don't you like about yourself?"
The president responded, "I have been playing golf lately, and I don't like my golf swing."
Laughing, the president continued, "you probably don't have that much golf weather in Russia, but it's a game that I keep on thinking I should be good at, and somehow the ball goes this way and that way and never goes straight."
Later in the interview, with ITAR-TASS/ROSSIYA TV, asked what the role of the First Lady is, the president said Michelle Obama's "first role is to make sure that our children are doing well" and her "second job is to make sure that I don't get too cocky."
His wife "reminds me of all the things that I can improve on," the president said.

Dems jumped all over Bush for golfing during the middle of two wars and he NEVER GOLFED AGAIN during his tenure in the White House. Funny how the hypocritical dems don't trounce Obama for golfing.......

Hey, Barack...I know a few good golf pros. In fact, I'll pay for you to practice golf 10 hours a day, everyday, for the next 40 months. All you have to do is promise that you will dedicate all of your non-relaxation/sleeping/eating time to playing golf. You know, this way you can(stop destroying our economy and way of life)really get your swing down. Actually, I dont have any money for that, but I'm sure that by now you've got the keys to the pronting press, so maybe you could fire it up and give me a "loan" so that I can pay for your golf lessons. Heck, it'll probably be a better deal for the Fed than any of those wonderful "toxic assets" they bought (created money to pay for).

>$560 Billion when Bush left office - Not including the two wars, of course. And Obama doesn't deserve a day off? Check out Jesus W. Bush's first few months in office.

"foreign policy has turned out to be his strength"
I've reconsidered - Actually, foreign policy may be The One's strength - He has proven that the economy and domestic policy are definitely NOT his strengths.

"Funny enough Obama's perceived weakness which was thought to be foreign policy has turned out to be his strength. His foreign policies have turned out to be near perfect"
Yikes...(non-)response to brutality Iran? (non-) support of Honduras ousting a would-be banana-republic-for-life dictator (a la Chavez)? Apologizing at seemingly every opportunity for U.S. "transgressions"? Tepid support for Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East? Blow-off of Gordon Brown and lousy gifts? Yakking it up with Hugo Chavez? Weak response to N. Korean missle tests?
Yeah, perfect. Smart Power! Yes we can!
Yeah, pretty much perfect.

All Obama golf shots go left. Hmmm

What a totally moronic thing to say, "...you probably don't have that much golf weather in Russia..."
Mr. President, Golf was invented in Scotland. If there is golf weather in Scotland, there is golf weather anywhere! And don't forget American astronauts playing golf on the Moon, fer crying out...

Somewhere, Hillary is lying in a single
bed, wondering how Michelle's sculpted
deltoids trumped her "world experience".
It's a question for the ages.

Obama is full of himself. He's a lousy golfer because he can't aim. I bet he can't shoot a gun either.

One of my old partners was a psuedo-pop-psyche poser and always asked those kind of questions . Answers always came back like Obama's or even "darn it I just care too much ".

CrockObama has been in office for 6 months and gave us:
Since the democrat congress in 2008:
bank bailouts, TARP, massive debt,
2 TRILLION in national debt, was 560 Billion when Bush left office, GM, AIG, Chrysler, mortgage meltdown, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, stock market bailouts, ACORN fraud, corruption, overseas election financing, 10% unemployment, massive layoffs, housing prices drop, loss in TRILLIONS in personal wealth, health INSURANCE takeover, cap and tax.....
the democrat congress is a joke, vote republican in 2010!!!

Funny enough Obama's perceived weakness which was thought to be foreign policy has turned out to be his strength. His foreign policies have turned out to be near perfect but his economy policies have turned out less than expected. My advice to him is that he is on the right track but implementation has been poor. the tax-cut for the rich should had been scrapped and the money re-directed to the middle class and small businesses. He should ignore sayings that the stimulus has failed. How can something fail when it has not really started? he should forget about inflation for now and concentrate on fixing the economy. I think the greatest impact on implementation of the stimulus is the worry about inflation. There will be little or no effects on inflation now while the job numbers are low and people are not spending. jobs will only be created when more money is chasing goods and services and this for now can only be achieved through more infrastructural projects and more money to the states to help with their budget deficits. Unlike what Obama thought, more federal and state jobs have been lost than expected and that has been as a result of states trying to balance their budgets by cutting fundings to many projects. I heard Biden talk about big projects in September? September is too far away, the earlier, the better.

It was meant to be a light hearted response to a question from a country that the US is despretly mending ties with. Stop over-analyzing.

What I have come to realize about America is that it is full of so much hatred for other people of colour that it is gradually loosing the blessings that it once had. Just look around you.
EVERY WHERE IS HATERED but some white people just dont want to admit the facts, and then you want to tell me that I must love some of these Americans when they come to my country and expect a friendly welcome to them ????

Shall we get into?
- the stimulus plan has done its job
- if we all inflate our tires, we can save just as much
- Bill Ayers is just a guy in my neighborhood
- there are 57 states in the Union
- I'll put Mr. Burgess up against Sean Hannity; he'll tear him up!
And we haven't even discussed Biden, which if we were comparing VP to VP, well what a list we would have.
