Asked What He Doesn’t Like About Himself, President Obama Cites His Golf Game
July 05, 2009 1:30 PM
MOSCOW -- In his first interview with Russian media, President Obama was asked, "what don't you like about yourself?"
The president responded, "I have been playing golf lately, and I don't like my golf swing."
Laughing, the president continued, "you probably don't have that much golf weather in Russia, but it's a game that I keep on thinking I should be good at, and somehow the ball goes this way and that way and never goes straight."
Later in the interview, with ITAR-TASS/ROSSIYA TV, asked what the role of the First Lady is, the president said Michelle Obama's "first role is to make sure that our children are doing well" and her "second job is to make sure that I don't get too cocky."
His wife "reminds me of all the things that I can improve on," the president said.

You count the days that the President has been in office and the amount of things that he has already done to help America, but yet you believe that he hasn't done nothing. What is wrong with you people, a question was asked of him and he gave a fair answer. What about Bush, when he was the President all we could hear is that he was on a vacation. Lighten up people. The President is doing the best that he can for now; if your pockets was being filled with cash we would hear a peep from people like you who are ready to criticize him.
The man is entitle to a little time off.

DANITA, ACTUALLY, ALL THAT IS NEEDED IS FOR THE GOV TO CUT THE CORPORATE TAX RATE (as US business pays the highest taxes in the world next to Japan), AND REDUCE OR ELIMINATE THE CAPITAL GAINS TAX. IT THAT WERE TO HAPPEN, I BELIEVE THAT WE WOULD SEE THIS ECONOMY TURN AROUND QUICKLY. THIS WOULD IN EFFECT PUT US ON A MORE LEVEL PLAYING FIELD WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD. AS I MENTIONED EARLIER, BAILOUTS AND STIMULUS PACKAGES (including that of Bush)WERE AND ARE A COMPLETE WASTE AND ACTUALLY A DETRIMENT TO OUR ECONOMIC RECOVERY.

Jimbo .. .
Still waiting for wisdom from you and your fellow Obama haters on how to get the country (and the rest of the world) out of this economic disaster.

DANITA - YOUR ASSUMPTION IS WRONG. I AM SURE MOST OF US CONS DON'T HATE OBAMA, I CERTAINLY DON'T. WE JUST THINK THAT HIS POLICIES ARE NOT RIGHT FOR THIS COUNTRY. AMONG MY CO-WORKERS, THE PERSON WHO FEELS MOST STRONGLY ABOUT THIS IS OUR SALES REP WHO JUST HAPPENS TO BE BLACK.

"Perhaps he could have mentioned his vast foreign policy experience consists of watching Russia from Alaska, like Palin did. That would surely impress them"
Olivia, please don't remind us . . .

Olivia...First part of your response was right on target, the last part of your response was a cheap shot at best...positive plus negative, both being equal, gives you a ZERO..

DANITA - PROFOUND!! PERFECT EXAMPLE EXAMPLE OF WHY LIB RADIO IS A FAILURE - NO DEPTH!!
Posted by: Jimbo | Jul 5, 2009 10:22:06 PM
My God, people - what do you expect him to say to the Russians? With a question like that you have to be non-committal. They would jump on any sign of weakness.
Perhaps he could have mentioned his vast foreign policy experience consists of watching Russia from Alaska, like Palin did. That would surely impress them.

Jimbo . . ..
You go ahead and create a discussion here with your fellow Obama haters about the proper way to fix the current economic crisis is . ..
We're all anxiously awaiting the solutions you'll come up with ... seriously.

INTERESTING THAT SO MANY OBAMA SUPPORTERS, AS SOME ON THIS SITE CANNOT BLOG MUCH BEYOND NAME CALLING. IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF THEY COULD DIALOG INTO SOME DEPTH ON THE ISSUES INSTEAD OF SPOUTING WORN OUT AND MEANINGLESS CATCH WORDS OR PHRASES. FOR EXAMPLE MY LAST BLOG REFERRED TO INCENTIVES FOR BUSINESS FOR REAL POSSIBILITIES FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH. ANY DISCUSSION?

tjp612 . ..
We know smear and fear tactics when we see them. We watched them through the last election and nobody bought it.
We remember it all - Obama is a muslim, a white hater, a communist, a traitor, a baby killer, a drug addict, a terrorist - we saw all of the name calling and the insults.
So don't think you'll get away with again even if you try to 'refine' the names you're using.
It's fear and smear and insult as usual from many, many posters here - NOT ALL! - but many.
Cheers!

Isn't Barack Obama just so awwwesome!!!! He can stay focused on his golf game while the entire economy crashes into the toilet! Iranians and Hondurans are struggling for democracy, the North Koreans are testing missiles, and Our Awesome President can worry about hook shots!!!!

Isn't this the kind of stuff that the Left constantly criticized Bush for? Suddenly, it's seen in a whole new light. Obama de-stressing after working so hard to fulfill his promises. It must be wonderful to be so perfect all the time.

To the frequent poster who is limited to calling out "fear tactics" and "it's Bush's fault", and those of us who oppose BHO's policies are in pursuit of an endless "smear" campaign against The One:
Please advise who your ACORN internship supervisor is - There are a few of us who would gladly write a letter of recommendation in your dogged (and blind) support of Our Dear Leader.

Ahhh...feel so bad for president. wasn't he supposed to be awesome in everything?
well, i hope he plays more golf and resign from presidency ...he is already a greatest presidency , all he need to perfect is his golf game.
So I hope he resigns!

ANY BAILOUT OR STIMULUS PACKAGE THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE AN INCENTIVE FOR BUSINESS IS LIKE BLOWING FRTS IN THE WIND, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT OBAMA AND CONGRESS IS DOING. ONLY BUSINESS CAN CREATE ECONOMIC WEALTH AND INCREASE THE GNP. SPENDING PROGRAMS AND MAKE WORK JOBS ONLY DELAY (OR KILL) ECONOMIC RECOVERY. NO, I AM NOT A FAT CAT - JUST AN AUTO PARTS DRIVER WHO KNOWS A HECK OF A LOT MORE ABOUT ECONOMICS THAT THOSE HACKS IN WASHINGTON.
Posted by: Jimbo | Jul 5, 2009 9:07:58 PM
THE WASHINGTON POST, WHICH WAS IN THE TANK FOR OBAMA HAS PUBLISHED A NUMBER OF EDITORIALS DENOUNCING OBAMA FOR HIS REFUSAL TO RECOGNIZE THOSE (LIBS) WHO THINK THAT HE IS GOING TO FAR TOO FAST...... AND THEY ARE AFRAID!! PERSONALLY, I WOULD BE CHEERING FOR OBAMA TO GET ALL OF HIS JUNK PASSED, WHICH WOULD CERTAINLY HASTEN HIS DEMISE, PROBABLY BEFORE HIS FIRST TERM IS UP. IN REALITY THOUGH, I BELIEVE IF HE DOES GET HIS WAY, IT WOULD BE DECADES BEFORE IT WE COULD RECOVER. THIS WOULD NOT BE ACCEPTABLE.

Same old smear and fear Jimbo . .. .
Posted by: danita | Jul 5, 2009 8:36:40 PM
Jimbo,
Please point me to the liberal press getting worried -- please!!! I need to see that -- you're not joking, are you?
I know you can't post a link, so just give me some clues...a name? A couple of words that will make my day? Thanks.
