Senate Panel Conducting Fort Hood Probe Warned of 'Homegrown' Threat
"The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee served up startling warnings of "homegrown" threats in a May 2008 report, describing scenarios eerily similar to the mass shooting at Fort Hood last week, which left 13 dead and 29 wounded."
And on MSNBC? "crickets" Oh, wait there is a link to a Carrie Prejean sex tape video, or something.

And by winning -at all cost- does it actually make you weaker in the long run?

My hope is that Republicans have been slapped in the back of the head and realize they actually should be working towards a valuable HC bill. They are on record as saying "we all want HC reform." This was disengenuous at best since they could have done it the first 6 years Bush was in office, but...
My hope is the Dems become reasonable enough to work on "focused" reform instead of using it as an excuse to grab power from the masses. Take Medicare Advantage for example, and fix it. (Yes Alyson, I read up on it and it does seem to no longer work the way intended - big surprise. Thanks for the leads, google-wise.)
My hope is they all start with the much laughed at "6-page glossy brochure" to agree on the major points, all sign onto it like a real contract and then go from there. This is how REAL corporations create. Agree on high-level aspects and populate with each step being approved. Is that too much to ask since they all seem to think they can "run things?" And get out from behind closed doors!
Pie in the sky I know but a guy can dream can't he? (My mother always told me while the rest of the neighbors were arguing and shoving on the field, I would be sitting on the sidelines reading the rules to find the answer!)

Good interview. Our President has some pretty noticeable bags under the eyes. One thing I have questions about in all this healthcare swirl is this; at what point does it become one side or the other winning rather than actually accomplishing good for ALL, not just some but ALL the citizens of this country? And by winning -at all cost- does it actually make you weaker in the long run?
Time will tell.

That is what happens when you allow religion to enter government, and should be a clear indicator of why religious figures should not be elected to office.

"Obama's focus on health care rather than jobs, when the economy is still so fragile ... could make it appear that the administration has its priorities confused," writes Robert Reich, former Clinton secretary of labor and a supporter of nationalized health care. "While affordable health care is critically important to Americans, making a living is more urgent."

This has turned into a multitude of bills, tacked onto the health care bill, and turning this bill into an anti-abortion bill, is exactly what is happening.

Imagine that, ABC news gets an exclusive interview with the President.I wonder why he picked ABC news, maybe it was payback for promoting Obama and the Democrats 24/7 all during last years election and continues unabated to this day.
Gee,ABC news do you have no shame, you might as well change your name to Pravda West. The Dems can count on you to provide full coverage and backing for their Socialist agenda without any questions asked.

Jake. How about a link to the transcript? I would rather read it than listen. Nothing personal.
