The Presidential Planner

January 13, 2010 7:00 AM

From Sunlen Miller:

This morning President Obama will meet with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the Oval Office.

This will be the first time President Obama and Speaker Reid will speak in person since the reports from a book about the 2008 presidential campaign recalled that Reid called Obama a “light skinned” black man with “no Negro dialect unless he wanted to have one.”

President Obama has since accepted Reid’s apology, issued over the phone this weekend -- and will use the meeting to focus on health care reform negotiations.

Afterward the president will meet with a larger group of House and Senate Democratic leaders to discuss health care. Those invited to attend are:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)
Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.)
Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.)
Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.)
Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.)
Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.)
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.)
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.)
Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.)
Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.)
Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa)
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.)
Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.)

In the afternoon, President Obama will tour a joint labor-management apprenticeship and training facility in Lanham, Md. The president will speak about creating clean energy jobs and is expected to highlight the CEA Quarterly Report to Congress on job creation though the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, released today.

The report says that as of the end of the fourth quarter of 2009, $263 billion of the total $787 billion included in the Act, (about one-third of the total) has been outlayed or received as tax cuts.

"A lot of the funding is out the door,” Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers Christina Romer said in a conference call with reporters last night.

They estimate that as of the fourth quarter 2009 the recovery act added "somewhere between 1.5 and 2 million jobs," relatively "to where we otherwise would have been," Romer said, " that is the real bottom line to say that close to 2 million jobs have been created or saved by the recovery act by the end of 2009."

Johnny L: GREAT POST!
=====================

Obama and his liberal cronies based the entire campaign on lies and most Americans bought them. The "Plan" is to tell Americans what they want to hear --- then do what you want to.

With all the corruption in our U.S. government, hardworking taxpayers can't trust Obama, his administration or the liberal members of Congress. Please know that we will all be taxed more by this administration.

They need to concentrate on unemployment, the economy and more important issues that affect us!

What happened to transparency and allowing us to review everything on TV? Why have some senators been offered perks for their individual states at the cost of all American taxpayers?

I may never vote for another Democrat!

ABC news take a stand for the American people and investigate this vile group, stop reporting on the balloon boy hoax and get to the bottom of Stimulus money being spent on Democrats pet projects which hasn't created any real jobs to speak of.Tax time is coming up may be a good time to report on Charlie Rangel and Tim Geitner, how about that Roland Burris what has he been up to?Just report the real news for a change.
