Top Rahm Aide Leaving White House for Bloomberg LP

Sarah Feinberg, a top aide to White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, is leaving to join Bloomberg L.P., the company announced this morning.

Feinberg, a special assistant to President Obama and a senior advisor to Emanuel, will be director of Bloomberg’s communication and business strategy efforts.

Feinberg’s husband , White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer, will remain in his position.

“Sarah has demonstrated the strategic leadership that will build on Bloomberg’s position in Washington and across the globe,” read a statement from Kevin Sheekey, head of government relations and public affairs at Bloomberg L.P. and chairman of the new government information division. “Her experience at the intersection of communications, politics and public policy, her track record of managing complex issues and teams and her entrepreneurial spirit will be tremendous assets at Bloomberg.”

Feinberg has been with Emanuel since 2005 , heading up communications for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee when then-Congressman Emanuel chaired that organization.
