The Presidential Planner

ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports:

After receiving his regular rounds of morning briefings, President Obama will travel to Thompson Creek Window Company in Landover, Md., and tour the facility.

The president will speak from the facility on the monthly employment report and make four economic personnel announcements: He has chosen Gene B. Sperling as director of the National Economic Council and Jason Furman as assistant to the president for economic policy and principal deputy director of the National Economic Council, and nominated Katharine G. Abraham as a member of the Council of Economic Advisers and Heather Higginbottom as deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget.

The Thompson Creek Window Company is a manufacturer and installer of energy efficient home improvement replacement products that has recently hired new employees over the past year, the White House says.

After the president returns back to the White House, he has no additional public events for the remainder of the day.
