'This Week' This Week -- 1/2/2011 -- The Annotated Version

I subbed for "This Week" anchor Christiane Amanpour today, and we had some great guests and a lively roundtable. Our first guest was President Obama's top economic adviser, Council of Economic Advisers chair Austan Goolsbee, with whom we discussed the economy: Next we spoke to actor and activist George Clooney and John Prendergast of the Enough Project about their new project to monitor conditions on the ground in Sudan using commercial satellites, to try to deter war crimes or even genocide. You can keep tabs on the project yourself at the Satellite Sentinel Project. We were joined on the roundtable by George Will, Donna Brazile, ABC News' political director Amy Walter, and National Journals Major Garrett. We discussed the incoming GOP House of Representatives: ...politicians on thin ice: ...and the GOP presidential nomination race for 2012: The gang kept up the chat In the Green Room: We honored some lives of note in Memoriam: Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed the show. Christiane will return next Sunday. - Jake Tapper
