ABC News' Stephanie Smith reports: This morning at the Blue Heron Farm, National Security Adviser John Brennan gave the President his daily national security briefing which included the lastest developments in Libya, according to White House Deputy Press Secretary Josh Ernest.
Just after 10 am, President Obama's motorcade rolled out of Blue Heron Farm under blue, sunny skies for a day of biking with family and friends.
They rode for about an hour after a 45-minute drive to the Manuel F. Correllus State Forest, the same place where the president, first lady and daughters biked last year, according to a White House official. The president was also briefed on Hurricane Irene and FEMA’s response to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands where they’ve felt the effects of the Category 2 storm. In addition, Mr. Obama was briefed on developments in global and US financial markets, recent economic data releases and on policy work being done by his economic team in advance of his post-Labor Day address.
