Whoops! Gibbs Retracts Calling Ahmadinejad the “Elected Leader” of Iran


Despite widespread reports of election fraud and myriad protests, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was sworn in today as president of Iran. Asked if the Obama administration recognized Ahmadinejad as the legitimate president of Iran on Tuesday, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs referred to him as “the elected leader.”

Human Rights Groups Question Role State Department Nominee Played in Company Active In Sudan
