ABC News' Z. Byron Wolf Reports: "I want to welcome Bob Corker to the Senate," Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said on Capitol Hill today. "As you know, he'll be the president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer of the Republican freshman class in the United States Senate."

I am glad that Corker won in Tennessee. He ran a good campaign and deserved to win.

Well, I suppose he could always cross the aisle to the other party if things get too lonely...I hear it's a lot of fun on the Dem. side.

Corker ran a nasty campaign he knew what the GOP was doing with the infamous Playboy advertisement

I had to live in Kentucky through many years of political changes. I watched my home state go from solid Democrat to mostly Republican. McConnell(R) was the worst thing to happen to Kentucky.
McConnell governs from the extreme right, ignoring or bullying 75% of Kentuckys population.
No tobacco subsidies or substitute.
Jobs leaving by the truckload. McConnell did nothing good for us then and he won't now.
Kentucky thrived under the Democrats, as will America.

"He ran a good campaign and deserved to win"...

48% of those who voted in Tennessee would disagree. Corkers true leanings as a moderate republican who became an election year "real conservative" disturbed many in his own party. His squishy record on abortion and taxes (never lowering them and not paying his own) only added to their suspicions. His ads from the primaries onward were filled with half truths, distorted facts and outright lies.

He was destined to lose, but the only thing that that saved him was money (mostly his own). He ran more ads than any other senate canidate in the country. He finally bought the seat that he has chased, and coveted, for thirteen years.

A good campaign by gop standards, but in truth a generic campaign that deserved to lose.

Bob Corker is a corrupt politician who has made his millions from skimming tax dollars through his phony non-profit organization.

He is a sleazy campaigner, a NEOCON Racist. Closeted gay Republicans will welcome him into the fold as one of their own.

Wow! Even after winning the election you liberals can still find plenty to whine about.
