ABC News' Karen Travers Reports: After meeting with the Iraq Study Group this morning at the White House, President Bush said its report gives “a very tough assessment of the situation in Iraq” and pledged to act in a timely fashion on its proposals.

The President said his Administration will take every proposal seriously and urged Congress to do the same. He took no questions and none of the ISG members spoke.

“While they [Congress] won't agree with every proposal, and we probably won't agree with every proposal, it nevertheless is an opportunity to come together and to work together on this important issue.”

President Bush said the report provides an opportunity “to find common ground for the good of the county – not for the good of the Republican Party or the Democrat Party but for the good of the country.”

“The country, in my judgment, is tired of pure political bickering that happens in Washington.  And they understand that on this important issue of war and peace it is best for our country to work together.”

The President thanked the group several times and noted that they could be doing many other things than coming back into government service.

“Our fellow citizens have got to know that it is possible for people of goodwill to come together to help make recommendations on how to deal with a very serious situation.”

Bush, you'd better start worrying more about America and less about you legacy. The Bush family legacy is already ruined. Good thing America is stronger than you.

Comments like these sound as you don't understand, this isn't a draft war, these soldiers enlisted, again not drafted, to serve this country, as our Commander in Chief does, whether up to your expectation or not, he is the Commander in Chief, who deserve that respect. Even if you don't care for his ways, it's like the mom thing. You folks are why the kids of America today have no regard. The soldiers I have ties with want to "go" want to be there. Some take action some place blame but all created equal...
