Pelosi Politics
January 03, 2007 8:00 PM
ABC News' David Chalian Reports: As Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) prepares to make history as she becomes the first female Speaker of the House tomorrow and moves forward with her policy priorities, it is also becoming clear that her politics will not be left unattended.
Speaker Pelosi is shipping one of her top aides, press secretary Jennifer Crider, over to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee to become communications director there to craft and implement a communications strategy for the Democratic effort to maintain and grow its majority in 2008.
Crider has been by Pelosi's side for the last four years and will certainly be charged with tending to the Speaker's political outreach in addition to her overall communications role.
Incoming DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) has also tapped Brian Wolff as his executive director. Wolff headed up the DCCC finance operation under Rep. Emanuel's stewardship and also served as deputy director in the 2006 cycle.
With so many incoming freshman Democrats winning by thin margins in Republican leaning districts in a year with a large wind at Democratic backs, the new team at the DCCC certainly has its work cut out for them. And/but incumbency is a powerful force.

the first woman to run the house and look where she is taking it.she is not a quality person and needs to think before she opens her mouth.i doubt she has even seen what the front lines look like and wouldnt know what to do if she did.she makes the intelligent look stupid, follow your party it is easier to be led than lead evidently.just like sheep.she has no respect for our troops or our country Wish she'd think before opening her mouth.
