Richardson Wants Everyone to Stay Positive

ABC News' Lindsay Hamilton reports: Governor Bill Richardson, D-N.M., may be polling far behind fellow 2008 Democratic presidential candidates Clinton, Obama and Edwards, but he doesn't want to break out the claws in order to get to the top.
Speaking with CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Richardson called upon his competition to sign a stay-positive pledge.
"We have a lot of good candidates out there," he said, "Because it's so important that we win, all Democratic candidates running for president should eschew and not have negative campaigning. They should sign a pledge saying we're not going to attack each other. I believe if we do that, we will go into a general election stronger."
No word yet on whether the other contenders are on board.

I have to agree here. If our Democratic candidates start flinging the mud at each other this will be nothing more than a circus and another reason for the rest of the world to laugh even more at our crazy politicians!

That is about right. Democrats pledge to hide any negatives about one another. I think it is good to air the closets and expose the weaknesses of each, so that the people can see who they are voting for. The truth usually hurts!
