Bush Honors Rush Limbaugh ... Sr.

ABC News' Ann Compton Reports: President Bush has signed into law a bill that would name a Missouri courthouse after Rush Limbaugh. No, not the conservative fire-brand and talk-radio host who strongly endorsed George W. Bush's campaign for president from its earliest days, and who got into hot water after admitting to a painkiller addition in 2003.
But the honor will go to Limbaugh's grandfather, Rush Limbaugh Sr., who was a well-known Missouri attorney for more than 70 years before his death in 1996 at age 104.
Bush has signed a bill that will name a new $50 million federal building in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as the "Rush Hudson Limbaugh Sr. United States Courthouse."
The bill's leading sponsors in congress were Sen. Kit Bond, R-MO and Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, R-MO.
"Rush Limbaugh Sr. was a beloved icon of the Missouri legal community, especially in Southeast Missouri where he lived all his life," said Bond.
"I am pleased that Congress has acted to name the new federal courthouse in Cape Girardeau after this great hero of American jurisprudence," said Bond.
Bond said Limbaugh Sr. was president of the Missouri Bar, president of the State Historical Society of Missouri, a U.S. State Department special envoy to India, and chairman of the American Bar Association's special committee on the bill of rights.

Wow, talk about bold. Tell me that this would have gone through if this man's grandson wasn't Rush Limbaugh, self-described promotional tool for the GOP.

I think Limbaugh Sr. earned the honor albeit posthumously. He would have received the same honor with or without his grandsons persona. ABC news pays it lip service and we know about it because of Rush Limbaugh.
Bold? No bolder than having sex with a female White House assistant in the oval office, or firing 93 US District Attorneys, and then firing 30 more the second term, or committing Perjury under oath, or, or

Ann Compton inserts the typical hit piece on Limbaugh (i.e. who got into hot water after admitting to a painkiller addition in 2003) into her report.
How come libs like Compton never insert (e.g. who got into hot water when he left a woman for dead in 1969) when describing ted Kennedy. Or (e.g. who got into hot water when he had sex with an intern) when describing Bill Clinton? Because it does not fit their template, that's why!
