ABC News' David Chalian Reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., is speaking out for the first time about an unauthorized web video supportive of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., that paints Clinton in a negative light on the popular video sharing site You Tube.

Clinton is portrayed as an 1984 Orwellian 'Big Brother' in the anonymously posted ad, which is a "mashup" of the controversial, 1984 Ridley Scott commercial that launched the Apple computer.

When asked about the ad, Clinton said, "I haven't seen it but I'm pleased that it seems to be taking attention away from what used to be on YouTube and getting a lot of hits, namely me singing "The Star Spangled Banner," Clinton told NY1 News in this interview.

"Everybody in the world now knows I can't carry a tune," joked Clinton. "I thank heavens for small favors and the attention has shifted, and now maybe people won't have to tune in and hear me screeching about "The Star Spangled Banner," she said.

When asked if she thought the video should be removed, Clinton said, "You know, that's for somebody else to decide. I don't have an opinion one way of another," said Clinton.

In a nod to YouTube's appeal to young people, Clinton said, "I think anything that drives interest in these campaigns and gets people who otherwise are not at all interested in politics, I think that's pretty good."

"I might quibble a little bit about the content," said Clinton, "but if we get more people, especially young people thinking about politics, I'm happy about that," she said.

Good for you. Mrs. Clinton. This ad was well thought out to try to get you and Mr. Obama at each other's throats and alas it has utterly failed.

Thanks for your classy response. While I have not decided which candidate I will support, all these negative dirty trick ads are forcing me to see you in the light of your ability to be thoughtful even under fire and I like what I see.

I am a Republican and I must say that if my party thinks this sort of hateful behavior will help them win, especially after the present horrible disaster in the White House., well they are mistaken. Either you or Mr. Obama would be a very welcome change from the stink that is in the white House now!!!!

How quickly people are to accuse the Republicans at being behind the "1984" Youtube video. Turns out it was an Obama fan.
