ABC News' Jake Tapper Reports: The Congress will send its Iraq war funding bill to the president -- complete with timetables for withdrawal -- on Tuesday, the fourth anniversary of President Bush’s famous “Mission Accomplished” photo op.

The office of House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said in a statement, "The House will send up the Iraq supplemental to the White House tomorrow, coincidentally on the fourth anniversary of 'Mission Accomplished,' and the president is expected to veto it on Wednesday."

On May 1, 2003, President Bush arrived on the deck of the aircraft carrier, the USS Abraham Lincoln, by way of fighter plane to announce the end of "major combat operations" in Iraq, adorned in a flight suit. Though the president never spoke the words "mission accomplished" himself, a giant banner proclaiming the phrase loomed in the background as he gave his address.

GW has never made a positive accomplishment in his life. Unless destroying the republican party counts :)

If the Mission was accomplished in 2003, then why are we still there in 2007?

What was the mission anyway?

The mission was to go into Iraq to find all the WMD hidden under Saddam Hussein's dining room table where he regularly had dinner with Osama Bin Laden to discuss abdicating his presidency in favor of installing a Cheney-style Democracy and putting Freedom on the March. That should be clear by now.... :^)

I always thought Nixon was the worst president of our times, but he had definitely been eclipsed by bubba Bush. Not only is he incompetent, he is also blinded by his own arrogance. To top it off, he has surrounded himself with a bunch like-minded and equally incapable cronies. I thought I would never miss Nixon! At least, he did not get us into a mess that has squandered the lives of thousand of our honorable and dedicated military service men/women, trillion dollars of our treasury and the good wills around the world.

That speech announced the "end of major combat" in Iraq. Remember, the Iraqis greeting us with arms open? Except then the Iraqis started looting and realized that there was no power to fill Saddam's void. We invaded with too few troops and now we're having a surge. Too little, too late. Bring our troops home!

WE voted this guy into our white house? Sorry dude, I wasn't part of that. Those who couldn't see what a hack he was before 2000 are responsible for the mess we are in now. Every American who voted for this guy bears responsibility. I can't even look at my neighbor without getting nauseous. He was a blatantly obvious idiot next to Gore! Unfortunately, the majority of Americans let their religion get in the way of good politics. Now we are stuck....

WHAT NEWS DO YOU REPORT ON ANYWAY?AND BUSH WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE GREAT PRESIDENT OF ALL TIMES.
