Clinton Details First Quarter Cash
April 15, 2007 6:15 PM
ABC News' Kate Snow and Matt Stuart report: Sen. Hilary Clinton's, D-N.Y., campaign released details of her first quarter earnings today, trumpeting the nearly $31 million they maintain in cash on hand, though nearly $7 million is money raised for the general election and cannot be used unless and until Sen. Clinton wins the nomination.
A release from the campaign also makes special note that "the campaign has raised the highest amount of money in its first quarter of any presidential candidate ever." Not played quite as prominently is the fact that Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., significantly out raised Sen. Clinton in primary dollars for the first quarter. Sen. Clinton raised roughly $19 million for the primary in the first three months of the year compared to Sen. Obama's $23.5 million tally raised for his bid for the Democratic nomination.
Sen. Clinton had 60,000 contributors in the first quarter, far fewer than Sen. Obama. But, of course, cash on hand is key and after many reports of Sen. Obama's strong fundraising showing, the Clinton campaign appeared eager to reestablish Sen. Clinton as the Democratic cash queen.

OF course the media downplayed the fact that Mr. Obama raised more money.
Yet another attempt by the white convservative media taking credit from a brother.
We have to make certain that no group of people find themselves without the power to strike back when people are just insensitive to their religions, their colors or whatever their creed.

We have had 6 years of horrific happenings both here and abroad all caused by this present Republican administration and their evil counterparts. After all this country has been through why still is the powerful news media so desperate to find fault with every single Democrat or Independent who wants to run for office and try to get us off Bush and Cheney's bloody route to hell.
A black man with not a whole lot of political experience but plenty of brains, honesty and know how, is suddenly pounced on by the media as Sneaky and playing the race card. A woman with more political experience, education, and intelligence than most of the men she challenges but instead of focusing on the good she does, the media constantly rants about the bad things she will surely do should she ever be allowed in the presidency. Where men in her position are considered Strong and steadfast. She is called cold hearted and stubborn.
And nothing was more sickening than the way the news media attacked John Edwards! Accusing him of using his wife's cancer as a way to gain sympathy for votes. Saying he would rather spend time campaigning than nursing his dying wife. They had the poor woman at death's door before she was even fully diagnosed!
What would happen if one morning every newsperson woke up on the wrong side of bed and decided to report only the truth and only the positive things about these politicians and others in the public eye ? I wonder...
