Clinton Home a Star Attraction
May 22, 2007 1:45 PM
ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Out of towners are rushing to see the Clinton's first home in Fayetteville, Arkansas -- now that former first lady Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y has entered the 2008 presidential race.
"More and more people are so interested in seeing Hillary and where she grew up," said Brittany Starr, director of the Clinton Museum House.
The house has become a hot spot in the small town where the couple lived for a year and half while former President Bill Clinton taught at the University of Arkansas.
The Clintons were married in the house which features a replica of the New York senator's wedding gown. Visitors can also view commercials that played for Bill Clinton's congressional and gubernatorial races. And, of course, Hillary Clinton presidential paraphernalia is now on display.
The Museum reports a whopping 283 percent increase in attendance since the second Clinton threw her hat into the 2008 Democratic derby, and reporting $3,500 a month up from $1,000 a month on average last year.
"People are wanting to know about Hillary," said Starr.
Profits are currently directed to the City of Fayetteville but museum administrators are trying to direct the new flow of cash to a non-profit. According to the Museum, thirty-five percent of visitors come from Arkansas and the rest are people flowing in from across the United States and around the world.

Let the profits continue to the City of Fayetteville not to a non-profit. People need to start looking closely at the "non-profit" crap because the funds are going to end up right back in the "Clintons' Non-Profit Organizations", which in turn means right back in their bank account!

ruben, what do you care where the money goes, and even if it goes into the clintons account (which it doesn't), that's their right!

I am voting for her because a vote for her means we get Bill back at least in some shape and form.
Maybe he can help fix this mess that the Republicans made. I for one am sorry that he did not get the same opportunity that George got he would have done some great things.
Of course anything is better than what is happening now.

Dear earthnotflat, if you start a non-profit please make sure that you are helping the people for which you started this non-profit. Stop using this as a Tax-Exempt venue to hide your fortune, that's all I'm saying. I don't care if you are a Republican or a democrate.
