Bill Clinton Says It's Too Early to Talk About Running Mates

ABC News' Kate Snow Reports: Former President Bill Clinton, speaking at the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Johannesburg, when asked if he could say what he thought about a Clinton/Obama ticket or a Obama/Clinton ticket, replied “No I can’t,” and indicated that it was too premature to talk about running mates.
“If my wife were to ask me to discuss who might be her running mate if she were to win [the nominations] I would refuse to answer,” he joked.
Clinton told the crowd that he liked Obama and Edwards and is extremely close to three other candidates – Biden, Dodd and Richardson, but that it would be “silly” to contemplate vice-presidential candidates at this stage.
When asked if his wife were to become President was he ready to be a spouse, Clinton replied “You bet!”
He is also fully prepared to help her campaigning, “She did about twenty seven years for me and I did about seven for her. I’ve still got twenty to go and I’m going to do whatever she asks me to do”.
But if his wife were elected, Clinton said today he would not give up his foundation work.

May God be with us if the democratic presidential candidate is Hillary Clinton. The thought just makes my stomach turn! Let's hope that the American public wakes up before the ballats are cast.

If Hillary got to be president, what would stop Bill from being vice-president? They seem to do what-ever they want to do and no one stands up against them.

I think experience is what will be needed to get back on line after Bush leaves. I believe Hillary has more experience and can do a better job and make less mistakes. We do not need to have to train a president at this time. We cannot afford mistakes. She is by far smarter than the others and has spent years studying matters affecting our Country.

To Jean: Bill can't be VP- It's against the law for a 3rd term and if something happened to Hillary, Bill would be next in line. Plus, he will be a MUCH better World Ambassador as is her plan if elected.
Senator Clinton will pick the best possible candidate for her running mate in 08. She is a smart, driven and caring candidate. Along with her Husband, the overwhelmingly loved President Clinton, they will be able to rally the world together once again. With her deep enthusiasm for improving the lives of the middle and lower classes, Americans will be more likely to once again join together to get things done. I am confident Hillary Clinton is the only presidential candidate with enough experience, compassion, and intellect to get things done and get America back on track.

I guess that means we don't have to vote.Clinton has it all locked up except the running mate. They(ABC news) have already determined that the winner is Hillary or so they want you to think. Why do they keep asking him(Bill) questions instead of her(Hillary)? Isn't she the one running. Oh by the way Mrs.Clinton, "don't count your chickens before they hatch."
