President Bush's Polyps Benign

ABC News' Martha Raddatz reports: Five small polyps, or growths removed from President Bush's colon were benign, or non-cancerous, White House Press Secretary Tony Snow told reporters Monday.

"The president is in good health, there's no reason for alarm," said Snow, who himself beat colon cancer but was diagnosed in March with a reoccurrence of cancer that has attached to his liver.

Snow said the President will have a follow-up colonoscopy in three years, rather than waiting the usual five years, because polyps were discovered.

Bush, 61, had polyps removed during previous tests in 1998 and 1999. However a 2002 colonoscopy revealed no polyps.

The President underwent a colonoscopy at the Camp David presidential retreat on Saturday and was given anesthesia. He voluntarily transferred power to Vice President Dick Cheney for over two hours.

Did they say polyps or brain tumors? Oh, never mind, little difference in this case.

Political affiliations notwithstanding, "reoccurance" is not a word.

Our prayers and thoughts are with your little polyps, President Bush. Can these be used for stem cell research?

Damn good thing god doesn't exist...because if he/she did... Bush would be toast.

What did you expect Chris? Bush is the worst President in the history of the United States. Vitriol is cathartic.

I agree, nothing but consistant bad news, it never stops!

While they were up there, they should have removed Rove and Cheney also. But those two are like a cancer to this country.

Posted by: Roy | Jul 23, 2007 4:25:45 PM

Yes liberals, we get it. You wish Bush had cancer ... blah blah blah blah.

Posted by: Scott Royer | Jul 23, 2007 4:32:21 PM

As diabolical as Cheney is, I am surprised he did not try to take over the world during his two hours in power...or at least hold the world ransom for 100 billion dollars.
