Thompson Blurs Schiavo Script

ABC News' Teddy Davis and Christine Byun Report: Former Sen. Fred Thompson, R-Tenn., said Thursday he doesn't "remember the details" of the Terri Schiavo right-to-die case.

"I can't pass judgment on it," said Thompson. "I know that good people were doing what they thought was best. That's going back in history. I don't remember the details of it."

But while candidate Thompson was sketchy on the details during an interview with Bay News 9's "Political Connections" program in Florida, actor Thompson appeared in a "Law & Order" episode which dealt with a fictional storyline that was remarkably similar to the real-life Schiavo saga.

The episode involved an incapacitated woman, a feeding tube, and a politically charged case.

Is this seriously what ABC calls news?

He was also an admiral in a movie. Does that give him defense cred? No it does not. Nor should a position taken in a TV show represent who he is.

For the sake of your integrity, take this down.

No-Show Fred is not ready to debate a presidential candidate nor is he prepared to answer typical questions
from the media.

I heard him stick his foot in his mouth four times in the past month.

1)Pro Lincoln-Douglas Debate,
but won't debate Huckabee.

2)Osama Bin Laden is just a "symbol"

3)Cuba and the "suitcase bomb"

4)And now the Schiavo case.

Any clown who votes for him is simply
wasting their vote. Republicans need Newt Gingrich or Mike Huckabee to upstage this clown Thompson.

It was a complex case, complicated further by the completely distorted coverage by the "mainstream press".

There is not harm is saying one wants to withhold judgement until one reviews the details again.

News media, stop manufacturing news to suit your own political biases.

Fred looks like he has convenient amnesia. He's too busy playing politics and trying to avoid having any opinions on any issues to try not to offend anybody. He may be offending quite a few people by sitting on the fence on everything.
