Romney Radio Ad Blasts Ahmadinejad Invite

ABC News' Matt Stuart Reports: Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney unveiled a new radio ad Monday, continuing his call for the United Nations and Columbia University to withdraw their respective invitations to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The ad, which begins airing today in Iowa and later this week in New Hampshire and Florida, touts Romney's refusal as Governor to provide a police escort to former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami when he spoke at Harvard University, saying "Romney called the invitation a 'disgrace.'"
All the major Republican candidates for president have issued statements against the Iranian leader, but the ad argues that Romney "is leading the opposition" to Ahmadinejad.
Republican candidate former Sen. Fred Thompson, R-Tenn., told Bill Bennett's "Morning in America" talk radio show Monday morning that if he were running the country, he would deny Ahmadinejad entry into the United States.

Since when does the United States have dictates over who can or can't attend the U.N. meetings? If America is going to protest the entry of ANYONE who is invited by the United Nations to speak or attend required meetings, then I suggest the United Nations find a more neutral country to locate its Headquarters. America already Vetoes anything/everything it doesn't like despite the large number of nations who have voted the 'resolution on the table' as just and fair and should be implemented according to U.N. law. No, America is now an arrogant nation that doesn't have many friends left in the world. Where is the "Kinder & Gentler" nation Bush Sr. promised in The New World Order"? This American has had enough!
