Tom Tancredo, Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson ? Decisions, decisions.

Hunter is probably the most conservative of all of the Republican candidates. I think Thompson fall some where close to the center of the nine. But taking this stand could move him closer to the right.

For Fred Thompson to take the position of the rule of law and supporting the enforcement of our laws, how long before the National Council of La Raza and Morris Dees and the Southern Poverty Law Center come out and call Thompson a racists ?

And has any one noticed that the Democrat's candidates refuse to talk about the issue of illegal immigration except they are all in lock step for rewarding criminal behavior with amnesty.

FRED THOMPSON IS AN EMPTY SUIT. Contemplate that one. What has this imbecile contributed to American life other than playing the role of "Authority Figures" in movies and television drama's? The least distinguished Senatorial career of anyone in the race, Thompson was more well known for being lazy, lacking a strong work ethic but enjoying cocktail parties, skirt chasing and serving as one of the best lobbyists that money could buy. Excuse me, but Fred Thompson is NOT qualified to be a City Councilman, let alone President of the United States. He is not heir to the Reagan mantle. Reagan had Chief Executive experience as the Governor of California. Fred Thompson should be running with a FOR SALE sign over his head. However, I think he has already been bought, as yet another similar alternative being offered up to the American public, a NEO-CON in disguise is Fred Thompson.

Well Steve, we Americans are already paying billions on illegal aliens. If you take a look at what illegal aliens pay in taxes and what they use in services, education of their children, using hospital emergency rooms for general health care, the large number of illegals in our jails, etc. in the long run it would be cheaper to the tax payers to deport them all.

Thompson isn't the first Republican to say this but right on for Fred anyway! Notice how silent the Democrats are on this subject...the American people overwhelmingly support securing the border and cracking down on employers who hire them.

Finally!! Someone in the top ranks not afraid to tell it as it should be told. This illegal immigration mess is appalling and those that pander to the illegal alien criminals must NOT be elected. What Bush and the rest (except for Tancredo who I respect greatly) refuse to face is that, yes, all illegal aliens are criminals and many if not most are felons for forging a Social Security/ETIN number or stealing someones identity in order to fraudulently get a job.

No, Fred, no. What you far right wingers do not understand is that the illegal immigrants actually are paying taxes, granted they are using fake social security numbers. But they are not getting the tax refunds that most Americans receive each year, because they're afraid to file taxes. Duh, why do you think that the Federal Gov't has not done anything about this for years? The IRS is reaping billions from this. The gov't doesn't track you down if they owe you money. So, think about the repercussions of your brilliant massive deportation idea. Not only will it cost all of us dearly, but the government will lose billions. Also, I don't know how life is in your little mono-ethnic town. But most people in areas inhabited by these 12 million enjoy the tax revenue generated by all these people spending money. So, quit yer bitchin' about the extra load on hospitals, schools, etc., leave these hard working people alone. If all our citizens had the same work ethic as these immigrants, we'd solve all the deficit problems. Secure the boarders, but give these valuable people a path to citizenship! Go RUDY.

Thompson is right and it's about damn time somebody had the guts to call a spade a spade. How many of those 12 to 20 million ILLEGALS are radical Muslim terrorists? Nobody knows the answer to that. Therefore, ILLEGAL immigration should be completely shut-down until they do.

The issue, in case you missed it, is whether or not they are here legally, which may only be determined by reference to OUR immigration laws!

Senator Thompson has said everything that I want to hear from a presidential candidate! About the borders, well, we MUST close them off and guard them well to keep out the terrorists and the illegal drugs, both of which are coming to the U.S. to kill innocent people....Then there's Iran that needs to be dealt with.
