Three Dead in Army Helicopter Crash in Alabama

ABC News' Luis Martinez reports: An Army Blackhawk helicopter crashed in northern Alabama Tuesday night killing all three crewmembers aboard after it struck a high tension power line while flying through foggy weather.
The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter and crew from the 101st Airborne Division, based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky were conducting a training flight from Fort Campbell to Chattanooga Municipal Airport in Tennessee at the time of the crash.
The helicopter went down at approximately 7:20pm EDT in a pasture near Skyline, Alabama.
Jackson County Sherriff Dennis Miller tells ABCNEWS the helicopter struck high tension power lines belonging to the Tennessee Valley Authority.
According to Miller, "the accident occurred just at dusk and the helicopter was flying at low altitude and there was apparently a line of fog at tree-top level and thick fog in the area."
The crash knocked down some of the power lines and some 50 families in the area lost electricity for a few hours.
