ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton's Women's Week has come and gone, but speaking in Ames, Iowa the Senator re-lived the obstacles she has faced coming to power. "As a young lawyer when I told a colleague that I might want to practice courtroom law he replied that was impossible because I didn't have a wife. He asked me ‘when you're in trial and you're busy who will make sure you have clean socks for court?’ Well I had honestly never thought about that because I had always washed my own socks," Clinton D-N.Y., said.

The Senator from New York reminisced, "when I was deciding where I wanted to attend law school I was coolly informed by a Harvard law professor and I quote ‘we don't need any more women at Harvard.’ So I went to Yale."

Clinton also poked fun at her famous pants suits. "Back in the 1980's women were not allowed to wear pants suits on the Senate floor. Clearly I would not have survived."

Sharing her conversation with fellow women Senators Clinton said, "Now we may not see eye to eye on everything, but we get together and we trade those very important bits of advice like what kind of shoes to wear on marble floors when you are on your feet all day."

Senator Clinton speaking at the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Woman and Politics stressed the importance of women through history and thanked them for what they had done for her. "I know that every day I walk in the paths that they cleared and benefit from the victories that they won."

Clinton delivered the annual Mary Louise Smith Chair Lecture, standing alone on stage. "I could say that it's a pleasure being up here with all of the women running for president in 2008, but I'd like to make a prediction that while there may be plenty of room on the stage tonight someday there will be enough of us to transform this event from a lecture to a debate."

One audience member asked Clinton to defend her position of collecting money from Special Interest groups. "I have taken the view that it is artificial for someone to say they don't take money from lobbyists or PAC's - but they take money from the individuals who employ the lobbyists and who set up the PAC’s that's a very artificial distinction. I think it’s more important to look at peoples voting record." Clinton has received criticism from her democrat rivals for accepting lobbyist money.

Senator Clinton gave one final tribute to the namesake of the auditorium "If we truly want to finish what Catt and her colleagues started then its time that we stop paying women 77 cents of the dollar when they work 60 minutes of the hour just like men do."

Way to go Hillary. You're head and shoulders above the other candidates.

So, as usual mrs. clinton is trying to ride in on someone else's coattails...other than having a big fat lying mouth, what has SHE accomplished? What's on her resume? If she's claiming 8 yrs experience in the White House, experience at what? Bimbo eruptions? Ignoring the Khobar Towers terrorist attack? The African embassy bombings? The first WTC attack and the terrorist attack on the USS Cole? Experience in crafting a do nothing national security policy? And, who died and made her health care police? Just because she wants it, who says she has to force it down our throats? But then, the clintons are good at the throat thing, aren't they?

1) Clinton is a Marxist-Leninist Socialist, not a democrat or centrist. She will pander to any group and continue to take illegal chinese money contributions. 2) the news media, like this ABC piece, continue to annoint her as the next president. 3)Years ago Krushchev said "We will bury you" indicating they would overtake and convert us. This the core of Marxist-Leninist policy. If we aren't carefull, this will happen in 2008

He's got a way about him. Yes, yes, yes let's HEAR it for our next president, Hillary Clinton!!!

I am a man and it saddens me when I hear
other women bashing their own and some
men who are still with first century
mentality. Just to let
you non-compassonate rightwingers know,
that she is going to be your next president so start adjusting and get use to it.When the time comes, think about what your life will be? You guys
were the ones that attacked Al Gore on
global warming,calling his finding fake,
now you see lakes, river, sea banks are all drying up. Please guys wake up.
