Romney: 'Hillary's House of Horrors'
October 26, 2007 12:15 PM
ABC News' Matt Stuart Reports: At a campaign stop in West Des Moines, Iowa Friday, Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass., lashed out against Democrats and said they would do nothing to protect America from Iran.
During a question and answer period with the audience, a man asked Romney if he would support a Halloween event that the audience member was planning. Romney's responded joking about a "Hillary's House of Horrors."
"You know, that's a great idea. What do you think about Hillary's House of Horrors? Alright? And we'd have … the 'raise your tax' room. We'd have the 'weaker military' room. We'd have the 'family values in shambles' room …. And frankly what the Democrats are selling is really quite frightening these days as we approach Halloween."
Romney then spun to Iran, and referenced comments Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made in 2005 alluding to a "world without the United States" as a "possible goal."
"Do the Democrats not understand that Iran becoming a nuclear nation, a nation, Iran, and Ahmadinejad, who call for the destruction of us and of Israel, who talk about genocide, and are moving headlong to develop the technology to carry out Genocide, that it's not appropriate to sanction these people?"

Since hillary attached herself to her husband's administration as a justification for her experience we can only suppose that if elected we will see a significant reduction in our military. The small force that we have in Iraq is a direct result of the significant reductions we experienced in Army, Navy, Airforce and Marines during the Clinton administration. We can't afford to undermine our security by dismantling our military.

Sounds like the democrats are sleeping on this issue of the Iranian Masterpiece.

What is wrong with this guy? Does he have a Hillary obsession? Why doesn't he put all this energy into telling us what he would do about all the problems we have going on now or doesn't he give a damn about people losing their homes, Americans still in Iraq, gas prices out of reach for some people, possible war with Iran if his counterpart GWB has his way, people without healthcare, I could go on for hours but there is not enough room. All he has on his mind is a woman running for office and that seems to scare the hell out of him. His true colors are really showing and their not the red, white and blue.

Ron

Romney does not want a woman in charge.
Hence the constant attack personal on the only woman running.
Romney does not want a blackman in charge.
Hence his deliberate attempt in his recent speech of his OSAMA BARAK OBAMA slur when referring to OSAMA BIN LADEN.
He is clever and cunning, we have to give him that, using the oldest trick in the book of mind control.
Romney has accomplished his mission of brainwashing most of middle America with a few cleverly placed words and phrases into believing that they do not want a woman or a blackman to be president.

Romney states in his personal attack on Hillary speech, "We'd have the 'weaker military' room"
Yet it was in the mid 1980s when the Republican Administration were closing our Military bases here in America and Cutting the money to the military and cutting back on our defense as well as stopping some defense projects that were in the process at that time. And when are troops first enter Iraq, it was this Republican Administration who sent our troops into harms way with a very financially lean as well as Armed weaponary lean at this time. And ONLY when it was proven that they made a poor calculation did they put money into it - BUT - a great deal of that money went to the American Corporations like Halliburton and Private Contractors.

I don't get it, are we supposed to be SO TERRIFIED of Iran, that we vote for him. Or so TERRIFIED of Hillary, that we vote for him. Here's a concept, maybe he's a snivelling coward about Iran, and a sexist PIG about a female President.

I don't mind having a woman president. But I do want to elect someone that is competent. Hillary Clinton has been a lousy senator. She has not acheived any major successes for the American people as senator.
She has however managed to help send our troops to Iraq. She has the blood of our troops on her hands.
Hillary Clinton has also managed to get rich from filling her pockets with the money of special interest groups and lobbyists.
Plus, how can she run this country if she can not teach her husband how to keep his zipper up?

Gawd, Your spouse NEVER strayed....that you know of...What I know of the Clinton-sex scandal makes Bill look bad, not Hillary. If your spouse strayed, it wouldn't be YOUR fault...

Isreal IS a nuclear nation. I think the rest of the world was disturbed in the US-USSR nuclear race and cold war. I don't think "bombing" is a solution. Evil and goodness co-exist in this world, in every country, in every heart.
When man kills someone it is called murder and is unacceptable; when society kills it is called "war" and is acceptable. We, as a society cannot continue to invade and bomb nations because we see them as a threat. Do you ever stop to think how they see us? When did we stop leading by example? We ARE THE GREATEST THREAT TO WORLD PEACE. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!

Thanks, Ron, I couldn't have said it better myself. I am so disgusted with all the mudslinging and it is still early in the race. At least, I don't have to worry about who I'm not voting for. I already know. Some of these candidates make me sick. Some of our veterans don't say enough about bring our soldiers home from Iraq now. God help us before GWB gets us (USA) blown off the map by Iran. Not looking forward to WWIII. I am so sick!!!of hearing this kind of talk from our candidates.

First of all, Hillary is not the only woman running, there is Edwards. Second I saw nothing in the story suggesting Romney was being sexist, if he says the same thing about cousin Obama he will be racist im sure.
Posted by: whatthe? | Oct 27, 2007 2:49:52 PM
whatthe?...Actually if your posting was in response to my posting. I was speaking directly about the innuendo of HOUSE of Horrors, plus the "weaker military room". These both imply strong sexist ties to the woman in charge of the house, and directly to the "weaker sex" and the weaker military room. Truthfully, I'd anticipate Hillary Clinton being MUCH tougher on enemies that Mitt Romney. I really want to know directly from him if he thinks women are secondary citizens, everything I read on him implies he's not, but, keeps coming back to "sexist" notions.
