No Planted Questions, Obama Assures Town Hall
November 13, 2007 12:19 AM
ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports: Barack Obama joked about Hillary Clinton’s question plant when he appeared at a town hall in Lebanon, New Hampshire Monday night.
Opening up the floor for questions Obama laughed and assured the crowd, “By the way, these questions have not been pre-screened or pre-selected. Don’t know what’s coming up.”
Earlier in the day Obama demurred a bit when asked by reporters to respond to the controversy swirling around the Clinton campaign planting two questions at her town hall events.
“I’ll let Senator Clinton answer for her campaign and how they operate town halls…I think you’ll have to ask her to defend the practices they’ve engaged in,” Obama responded, “It’s not a practice that we’ve ever engaged in and it’s not a practice that we ever plan to engage in.”
At Obama’s own town hall event in Claremont the Senator spoke about his drawing of distinctions with other candidates, saying this is the stage in the election where he needs to be more direct. But Obama says he only intends to go so far.
“Despite the egging on of the national press - I'm not interested kneecapping Hillary Clinton,” Obama said, and added, “I think she's got a lot of good qualities, but I am running because I believe I can be the leader that America needs right now that she can't be.”

The jack-booted Clinton machine continues to stomp on legitimate political debate which does not reflect well on their candidate. Pesky details like if Hillary supports giving drivers licenses to Illegal Aliens.
Wolf Blitzer at the Clinton News Network (CNN), has been warned not to focus Thursday's Democrat Vegas debate on Hillary. "This campaign is about issues, not on who we can bring down and destroy," a top Clinton insider explains. "Blitzer should not go down to the levels of character attack and pull 'a Tim Russert.'"
How dare you ask tough questions?! Leave Hillary alone! Quit Swift-boating her! Quit piling on! Don’t quiz me, Bro!
Eight years of Slick Willy taught us that if you flood the airwaves with enough crap, you can choke out all political speech which you don't like.

No planted questions, but what about this?
"During his trips through Iowa, Obama has held roundtable discussions on various topics — agriculture, Social Security, working women’s issues — with “real people.” But these are really designed for optimum press exposure, the rooms filled with journalists. At the last one I attended on women’s issues, four of the eight women were Obama supporters, four were independents.
Newsweek columnist Jonathan Alter noted to me, Obama “wouldn’t want to sit down with these women and find out that one supported Hillary’s policies.” Of course. A certain amount of stage managing and legerdemain is required." ( a commenter on Taylor Marsh noted this)
This is just more MSM deciding it's time to take out Hillary. For the life of me, I can't figure out the logic except that all MSM is ultimately nothing more than big business and big business wants a Republican in the White House. Why? So they can go about their business of screwing the American public and making obscene amounts of money. In the end, it's ALWAYS about money. Right?
