Obama_timelines_mn ABC News Sunlen Miller Reports: Presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama D-Ill., stopped for a little soul food with Al Sharpton in Harlem Thursday evening.

Arriving together in the same car, the two were flanked by people on the street outside the popular soul food restaurant, "Sylvia's" in the heart of Harlem.

Obama yelled, "We gon’ shake up the world," as he entered the restaurant side by side with Sharpton.

The two sat down at a table alone and ate cornbread after greeting a few people eating in the restaurant.

Afterward, Reverend Sharpton denied that their meeting was any type of endorsement, "No, it's not endorsement," Sharpton said, and explained, "He came to my headquarters and picked me up and said "let's go to dinner and talk, so we went to dinner and talked."

An endorsement by Sharpton, for any presidential candidate, would be key in winning African American votes in key states.

Sharpton confessed that he and Obama "have been talking," and was happy to go to dinner with the Senator.

"Tonight he came to Harlem, and he came with a message that Harlem might want someone to discuss at a presidential level, and that is hate crime," Sharpton concluded.

After the dinner the two went their separate ways, Obama proceeded just down the street for a speech at the historic Apollo Theater.

Ain't bad at all! A diner with Sharpton is all it is. Good call and good judgement. Antagonizing Sharpton is not the way to go. Barack does this one well, as usual.

I hope Al Sharpton endorses Barack Obama and help get him Nominated. Obama is the future of this country.

Hmmm. One is a lying racist and the other is a wolf in sheep's clothing. You choose, you'll be correct either way.

Gefore endorsing, Al have to figure out what is in it for himself.

"Tonight he came to Harlem, and he came with a message that Harlem might want someone to discuss at a presidential level, and that is hate crime," Sharpton concluded.

What the hell does that mean? Did ABC leave out some words or is Sharpton really that illiterate?

If you think Obama is the future of this country, think again. He, along with most of the democRats in this race, does not have the requisite experience for the job. If this was a job in which the candidates had to submit a resume before being interviewed, none of them would even get a call to come in for an interview with Human Resources, except maybe Bill Richardson.

Senators and Representatives make lousy executives. Governors usually make the best Presidents because they have had to work with legislatures to achieve their goals at the state level. The last senator who served as President was LBJ and we all know how that worked out.

Jarhead, you just don't speak the same language as Sharpton. The real question is "who was translating for Obama?"

B. O. grasping all pockets for change!Even dealing with Al Sharpton and those who have openly hurt the hard working class.Face facts -non-working ,lazy and very angry people -who are under Sharpton's realm Are rising in numbers. So Obama surely take every advantage!
