Clinton and Buffett Have Another Conversation

ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: On a day when the FED cut interest rates by a quarter one of the richest men in the world, Warren Buffett, sat down for a "conversation" with Democratic Senator Hillary Clinton. The topic was the economy and Clinton stressed the importance of having the right leader in the White House. "Every day that passes it becomes clear that the economy has to have good stewardship. We need responsible leadership in the White House again," Clinton said.

"I'm running for president because I am best prepared to take on whatever the challenges are and increasingly the economy will be front and center for the 2008 election and for the presidency that begins in January of 2009," she added.

Buffett who has held fundraisers for both Clinton and her rival Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., did not reveal who he supports but did say that he's looking for somebody with "brains and quality."

The topic of Iraq came up only once - when San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome previewed the conversation saying "It won't just be about the war in Iraq, as important that is, although I'm sure they will have a conversation about that." It never happened. Clinton spoke about taxes and the mortgage crisis and touched on education. After wrapping up the speech she lamented that they did not get to talk about issues about global warming and our dependence on foreign oil.

Buffett complained about the discrepancy of the tax system in this country as Clinton has applauded him for in the past. "What has happened is that the super rich have gotten a huge break" Buffett explained this later as he illustrated with the income tax discrepancy between what he pays and what for example a cleaning lady pays to the government.

Buffett also offered some financial advise "Buy stock in a company that is so good that an idiot can run it because sooner or later one will." Buffett continued "there's a certain parallel to that in our country"

Clinton rifled through questions in a straw basket and took out several. Buffet commended her "I like it when she skips over a few there" Buffet said as he chuckled.

Clinton has two more fundraisers and then heads to Washington DC, before going to Iowa on Thursday for the Democratic Debate.

The "best prepared" and ""most qualified" false statements of Hillary are truely a laughing matter. Failed socialism health care policy; husband was once president; being a female; and the hate of President George Bush is her platform. Her "experience" of gallivanting around the world showing face is her presidential qualification of foreign policy. A non-resident elected junior senator of NY is her stepping stone. Why NY, and how do they feel about that? The "brains" are a deceptive mind and as for "quality", I am sorry, Hillary's deceptiveness overrides it.

Warren Buffett is no dummy.

His views in supporting either Obama or Hillary means a lot more to me than who Opera supports.
