Clinton Goes Door to Door in New Hampshire

ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Hillary Clinton went door to door in Manchester, N.H. asking for votes. The campaign had said that the people who lived in the homes Clinton went to were not pre-screened, but the senator did walk from home to home in West Manchester -- a part of town friendly to Democrats.

Clinton was received warmly into people's homes. One young girl, Sarah Pare, nodded to Clinton when asked if she wanted to be a scientist when she grows up. The young girl's father said his daughter had won the state science fair.

Clinton knocked on another Manchester house and an elderly lady peeped out the door and said, "It's cold out there," and then closed the door. The senator said, "I don't want you to get cold," and backed away from the house.

Clinton met two dogs on her walk through town. The first one was named "Samantha." Clinton said to the dog, "Samantha, I will be a good president for dogs." The second dog, "Wolfgang," barked Clinton off the steps of a house. His owner seemed excited to see Clinton as she circled back to return to the door.

Clinton later went to Chez Vachon, a famous diner, where she sat at the table with Lou D'Allesandro of the New Hampshire State Senate.  Clinton did not mention her former New Hampshire campaign co-chair Bill Shaheen, and when asked what she hopes to do out here (in New Hampshire) she said, "We're having a good time."

I'm glad to see her out knocking on doors.. She's not afraid to meet with the people on the own turf, and answer their questions.. She will be a Great President, and put this Country back on the right track.. The women of America will be the "Decider" in this election, and Hillary will be their choice.. The Republican Dirty trick committee has been exposed for what they are..the "Slugs of the Earth".. Hillary Clinton will win in a landslide vote, and I look forward to her 8 years, and her V.P.'s next 8.

Hopefully, Clinton's negative, dirty campaign tactics will prevent her from winning the nomination. If she ends up the Democratic nominee, we will see the entry of Raplh Nader, and possibly Mike Bloomberg, into the Presidential race.

And another 4 to 8 years of Republican rule, and the final shredding of the Constitution. Our country really cannot survive that.

Joan, can you provide three examples of Bush "shredding the constitution"?

Posted by: Mike | Dec 15, 2007 9:47:41 PM

Joan can't even give ONE example of Republicans shredding the Constitution. How about a few by liberals? 1. Roe v. Wade 2. Separation of Church and State 3. FISA and the list goes on.

What's with all the hype about 'shredding the constitution'?

This president has not done anything more than any other president in a time of war. For God's sake, your own liberal "GOD", Sir William Jefferson Clinton, was doing the same practices that this president is doing (wiretapping of international calls, CIA interrogations, etc). You just know more about it because the media is trying to make Bush look bad.

Geez, you libs are oh so ignorant....and ignorance is the biggest price this country is paying.

Hey libs...go read some history books, or as you MAY call them, "Right wing conspiracy machines"

Women will be the decider in this election? Maybe, but hopefully not voting for Clinton JUST because she is a woman.

She is one of the weakest Democrats, in terms of shady past, unethical campaign running, in the bed with every Chinese person except for the guy at a local restaurant, and anything else dirty you can think of. Only person worse than her is Kucinich with his tin foil hats, conspiracy theories, and visits with aliens.

Hillary will be the turning point of this country by forcing us into a socialist form of governence. If you don't believe that then you need to do more research into what she has made very clear over the past couple of decades. Her policy's are almost word for word out of the Marxist handbook. The only thing to save this country is for all of us to get back to personal responsability, that one thing has nearly killed this country. We rely too heavily on goverment programs and handouts and privilages that are really RIGHTS that are ours to begin with.
We need to get away fromt his two party system and bring in others that know the meaning of the Constitution and the Bill Of Rights, without these documents to hold our country together its a matter of time before we are not free but instead a ruled people.
A quote to make you think about our country and what the Constitution really means.

"No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. To deny this, would be to affirm, that the deputy is greater than his principal; that the servant is above his master; that the representatives of the people are superior to the people themselves; that men acting by virtue of powers, may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid."

"It is far more rational to suppose, that the courts were designed to be an intermediate body between the people and the legislature, in order, among other things, to keep the latter within the limits assigned to their authority.... A CONSTITUTION is, in FACT, and MUST be regarded by the judges, as a FUNDAMENTAL law." - "

Perhaps there's a very good, simple reason that the polls are changing so strongly specifically in the states that HAVE SEEN THE CANDIDATES MOST OFTEN AND UP CLOSE: Iowa and New Hampshire........and that is that the more people really, GENUINELY GET TO KNOW both BARACK and HILLARY, their instincts tell them that Barack is INSPIRATIONAL and a person of total INTEGRITY -- knows how to bring people together for a greater good; their instincts (the voters of Iowa and New Hampshire) tell them -- by sharp contast -- that Hillary really is a continuation of the OLD politics of PARTISAN BICKERING AND "DIRTY TRICKS" AND "SLASH AND BURN"...and her only core "conviction" is simply what the latest focus group tells her is the "flavor of the moment". All of Hillary's corporate big bucks and ruthless machine slime tactics can't get past real people's "radar detectors". --- Janet (an involved mother and grandmother)

Sure, Obama wins the Democrat primary, and the country will not vote for a black man. There we go again!! Another inept Republican president!!!The country will go into a recession, people will be losing their jobs, homes etc. What will the voters say?? Well, there wasnt anyone better to vote for in 2008!! Thats what we have been hearing for the last 7 years!!!!!!! For Gods sake America wake up!!!

Hilary is smart and has the confidence of many, many of the Republican Senators. She will be able to bring them together to accomplish important legislation!! Go Hilary!!! World leaders love her!!!

Hillary crying like a little girl is what tipped the scales in her direction in NH. Nothing else. She saw her investment and career going down in flames and started crying because of that. Don't be fooled, she is part of the elietist contigent that runs the country and if elected nothing will change. She will say anything that will keep in the her news and in office. Her promise is the promise of MORE OF THE SAME FROM THE SAME RICH ELITE. She only cares about number one, and number one ain't you. You arn't even number two. Her win in NH has been described as a landslide victory but last time I checked a 2% win is hardly a landslide.
