Clinton Shifts Closing Argument in Final Days
December 29, 2007 3:23 PM
ABC News' Kate Snow and Eloise Harper Report:
Sen. Hillary Clinton has shifted her message in the final days leading up to the Iowa caucuses. For the past three days Clinton has focused on the change that she has brought in her 35 years, but today Clinton delvered the message that she can win.
"The questions come down to two (things) who is ready to be president on day one" and "who can run a winning campaign.".
Clinton walked on stage with Ohio Governor Strickland - and later announced that "we're going to win Ohio."
"I will stand up and wage a winning campaign" Clinton said "I will have a breadth and depth of support unmatched by any candidate. You know I'm running against three current senators and one former senator. I think the most that the three others have is one other senator supporting them. I have nine."
Clinton continued saying "I have people acros this country who have been elected in tough states for the democrats and they know how to win and they believe that I am the best person to win for the democrats."
Clinton, for the past three days has been listing all of the ways she has brought change - today she tried to make the case that she can win.

Yes Bethany forget all of that. That is old news. And not worth talking about again. Nothing was proven. They did nothing wrong. You must be part of the G.O.P. Only they would bring that up again. In fact you know what Hillary is soo repected that alot of the G.O.P. will not even bring that up. Only the people that hate her. The people who are afraid of a strong, smart, brave woman. And of course the people who are also jealous....

I'm a lifelong Democrat, but I won't vote for corruption. Hillary is the epitome of dishonesty!

anti artin: You said it, I have to comment. In the body of your post you said it best "MAIN ACT", you got that part right. By the way for poster 'tielblue"; the main reason Hillary sides so much with Bush's policies, they are the one's coming up in the senate for vote that she has managed to attach earmarks to. She knows if they pass, the pres. is going to sign them. Didn't you know she has earned the name "earmark queen". How do you think she got so many Senators to support her? It works like this: Senator "A" from so and so state, asks Hillary, look, if you support my earmark's, I'll support you.

Hey Tummytickler - you're wrong. Hillary's right hand person has been with her for years. She has very long term friendships even going back to her elementary school years. She is extremly loyal to her friends and they to her.

The above commentator says that 'impeaching Bill for lying about sex wasa joke" but that GW should be impeached and yet he starts by saying people are so "judgmental."
--I love how Clinton fans use attack instead of addressing the issues. The issue was the POTUS actually lied under oath in the supreme court. It is immaterial what it was about. Clinton felt above the law and boldy lied until he knew he was going to because out. This is the M.O. for the Clintons.
GW has done nothing illegal under oath--there are no grounds for impeachment, regardless of how much some might hate him.
Personally, I like Obama, even though I am normally a republican voter.

Hillary is only respected by the blind partisan democrats who no longer feel they need to think for themselves. Hillary is the reigning Queen of non-thinking people. She is quite ready to tell them all anything they want to hear. And they are quite willing to be led by her lies.

DUMP HILLARY! SHE IS A MEAN, VICIOUS LYING BAG OF GARBAGE!

As a woman, i would love to elect a woman as president, but not someone like Hillary who i believe is a terrible example of what women can be. And when we set a precident(leading example) in a female President, I would like for her to be one who has risen with pride and dignity and completely on her own merits and one who is much less likely to disappoint our gender.

This country will do well with Hillary and Hilary will do well for this country.
I cannot believe the people who get their marching orders from "HATE" TV and "HATE" radio, it seems that most of them have loss the ability to think for themselves, as you can see from some of the comments which mirror the comments on hate TV and hate radio – check the newspaper comment sections. If they were really concern about where Hillary would take this country they would really be expressing their utter discuss about where the Bush administration has already taken it - which is down - way way down ! surplus long gone, thousands of lives loss for a completely unnecessary war, 1 trillion and counting taken from our national treasury – funds that our children and their children will need to pay for, 50 billion paid to insurgents to stop attacking our troops – at least for now or until we stop paying them again, 12 billion in 100 dollar bills they claim is just missing - the list of unbelievable stuff just goes on and on and with no lessons learned from the past ; the times when we gave weapons and billions to the Taliban who were fighting the Russians at that time as well as the northern alliance ( now the current leadership of Afghanistan ) not to mention all the weapons and billions more dollars we gave Sodom Hussein during the Iraq - Iran wars – this all after the horrific gassing this administration likes to point out and those plane load of weapons Ollie gave to the Iranians during the U.S. led embargo ? – Why and what for? Were any of those weapons sent to the insurgents in this Iraq war ?. Now days our economy is in shambles, we are on the verge of a recession, this administration has been wrong about so many things that our credibility and respect around the world has been badly soiled, as Scott McCulin said he lad to lend the bush administration some credibility, Tony Snow was kind with his “somewhat of an embarrassment” remark – so Do your homework folks - then decide – because one more Bush like neo-con like administration could well do us in! Our founding fathers prevail over the most powerful military on earth because bullets will never be a substitute for the will of the people – a well informed people ! Neo-cons should return to the toy soldiers of the youth and leave the real soldiers to leaders like Hillary who will make decisions as their commander and chief worthy of the service and their sacrifices !

And we are supposed to forget entirely about Travelgate, Whitewater, lost billing records, the Rose law firm, the Lippo Group, Johnny Chung, Harold Ickes, miraculous cattle-future winnings and lying under oath. So selective is our memory supposed to be that we are asked to credit Mrs. Clinton as a kind of co-President during her husband's eight years, while her husband blocks public access to his Presidential records that might let us examine her actual contribution. Those "good years for our country" allowed al quaida all the time it needed to gain enough strength to humiliate the greatest country on earth. Yeah bill, thanks bunch :( What I want to know is will Hill and
B. J. (Billy Jeff) bring back the
silverware, rugs etc. that they
thieved the last days of their co-
presidency? Hillary is only an indication of the illness that is growing in this country's politics.

Notice how people like TYSPOCK seem to totally omit the mistakes of Bill Clinton as though he made none? He talks about how America "fueled" the taliban (which is what won the cold war with the FORMER Soviet Union. But fails to mention that Indonesia tried to HAND BIN LADEN TO BILL CLINTON! Bill Clinton was too frightened to take Bin Laden calling him a "hot potato". How many lives in total would have been spared if he had accepted custody of Bin Laden then?

Hillary is an embarrassment to the women who have risen to greatness on their own. She cheats at everything she does and making this woman an historical figure would be a travesty.

Is Laura Bush now qualified to run for President?

Hillary Clinton Admits to breaking the Law on "This Week" W/ Stephanopoulos.
Did HILLARY Break the Law? See for your self!
Today On This Week, She admitted getting and reading classified documents.
While in the White House as Bill's Wife
Truth is;
She did not attend any daily briefings, had no security clearance.
If as she states on "This week" she was briefed or read classified information while Bill's wife, without a security clearance, she broke the law

Logic would require that the president's wife has automatic security clearance. You cant seperate the president from the representation that the opposite gender spouse brings to the table. However, one has to wonder if it was Hillarys influence that made Bill Clinton too frightened to accept custody of Osama Bin Laden when the Indonesian government asked Bill Clinton to extradite him. Whatever the experience these Clinton's have, are we to simply assume it is all good? Are we expected to forget about all the scandals and lies?

I was born in Ohio. I have moved on from there. Fellow Buckeyes see that Hillery runs on from there also without a win in Ohio. I think we have more sense than that. Bill would be the president, not Hillery.

You have all seen the absolute circus that the newly led democrat congress has staged. Condemning Turkey for something that happened 90 years ago, attacking and trying to censure political enemies, offending China by giving the dali lama a congressional medal, Now imagine giving the entire government to one party. If you really want what they are offering, you will certainly get it with a democrat for president.
