Clinton Takes Off in Her 'Hil-A-Copter'
December 16, 2007 8:33 PM
ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton took off in her helicopter, which she has dubbed a "Hil-A-Copter," at about 6 p.m. in southwest Iowa. The senator was surrounded by many reporters and the owners of the livestock auction Clinton attended earlier who were outfitted in cowboy hats and boots.
Clinton is launching her "Every County Counts" tour of Iowa, spreading her surrogates around the state.
Clinton's chopper carried no large Hillary signage -– just a small sign that read "WORKING FOR CHANGE WORKING FOR YOU" that was taped onto the two sides of the chopper.
Sen. Clinton rode in the chopper, which seats six, with one aide, a reporter and Secret Service agents.
The chopper is a Bell 222, 1980 model –- and rides in it usually cost $2,600 an hour. The Clinton camp received a discount –- a rate that was not disclosed to ABC News.
The pilot, Rick Lowrance, ownes the chopper and said that Clinton seemed to enjoy the ride, adding that it was "wonderful and easy to get in and out of." Lowrance is a Clinton supporter and says he is going to vote for her.
Clinton waved to reporters as she took off, flashing a big smile and giving the press a thumbs-up before her ride took off. Clinton will not be traveling by chopper Monday –- but again will use the aircraft on Tuesday.

Go Hillary!
Yes, Ron Paul is #1 in GOP fundraising.
Mike Huckabee is #1 in GOP polls.
Here's hoping the GOP ticket is either Paul/Huckabee or Huckabee/Paul.
Go, Hillary!
