Edwards Laughs Off Clinton/Edwards Ticket
December 12, 2007 7:00 PM
ABC News' Raelyn Johnson Reports: There were a lot of curious caucus-goers at former Sen. John Edwards' town hall in Grinnell, Iowa on Wednesday.
One attendees' question got a chuckle from the former Senator and Democratic vice presidential nominee.
Asked the Democratic if he would consider running on the same ticket as Sen. Hillary Clinton, Edwards simply chuckled just as a member of the audience shouted, "Please say no."
Then Edwards answered, "Uh, next question."
Last month Edwards sent tongues wagging when during an interview with the New York Times, he declined to say whether he would support Clinton if she were the nominee saying, "I'm not willing to talk about that at this point."
Edwards later explained to ABC News, "I fully expect to support the Democratic nominee and I fully expect to be the nominee."

Obama-Edwards has a nice ring to it...though I'm not sure if John has much interest in playing secondfiddle to anyone at this point, after finding out how limited the Veep can be in 2004.
