Edwards to pull an all nighter--says he's restless for change
December 29, 2007 9:09 PM
ABC News' Raelyn Johnson reports: Democratic hopeful John Edwards is turning his sprint to the finish line into a marathon. Beginning January 1st Edwards will campaign for 36 hours straight leading up to the Iowa caucuses on January 3rd.
"I’m looking forward to meeting with Iowans across the state over the 36 hours who are as restless as I am for change," said Edwards.
The 36-hour push is being billed as the "Marathon for the Middle Class," where Edwards is scheduled to outline 36 ideas to strengthen the middle class.
Edwards will stop in 15 counties and wind up his epic all nighter with a rally in Des Moines with singer and supporter John Mellencamp.

"as restless as I am for change"
Pardon me while I vomit. Can you get any more cheesy than that?

"After defrauding a 97 year old woman of over $450,000.00"
What??? Did you even read your own link??
You linked article explains Bunny Mellon gave two contributions to a 527. Oh, but we can't have that, can we? We can't have a Mellon giving to a progressive 527. Better it's Mellon-Scaife giving to "Swift Bush Veterans for Lies", right?

I use to like Edwards but no more because he is a big empty suite. He never accomplised anything for the nation in his 6 years in the senate.
Edwards is a fraud. Any voter who believes this man is very stupid and naive. A very big fraud.
He used poor people as his foot tool and exploits them.
He is saying anything to win now.
False promises + No real track record on the promises such as limiting the power of lobyist = Fraud

I can't agree more with you Elvis. John Edwards is the biggest scam in the name of change.
It saddens me that Iowans are giving him the opportunity again.

I agree with all the post about Edwards. I will vote for Obama, Biden, Dodd, Richardson, Clinton and Edwards in that order.
He is indeed a big scam. Big lawyers
Posted by: James | Dec 30, 2007 12:46:19 AM
John Edwards is indeed a lawyer. He was a poor boy who got rich by dint of his own hard work and talent. He won lawsuits for poor people, who through no fault of their own got permanently disabled by the products of rich corporations.
Then he decided to use his own wealth to back a populist campaign fighting for health care and tax relief and jobs for the poor and the middle class of America.
Rather than being a fake (like say, Mitt Romney), I'd say that John Edwards is the Real Deal. Among all of the Democrats, he also is the most electable, too
John Edwards for President.

John Edwards is definitely he real deal and far from being a fake. Maybe my story will help you decide who is being a phony.
I live in New Hampshire. Today among many other campaign fliers I received a message from the ASCME union (which has endorsed Mrs. Clinton) assailing Obama for not insuring 15 million Americans with his Health Care Plan.
Did the literature contain a quote from Mrs. Clinton? No, it contained a quote from John Edwards. It was a factual quote but it was obviously intended to make it seem Edwards was attacking Obama.
That kind of tactic is disgusting.

If I have to read another sick neocon cheerleader with bad math come in here to slander the best candidate running (John Edwards) I think I may vomit.
John Edwards is the only one who tells it like it is...He's down to earth, proven to be the strongest candidate, & is far to righteous for the bitter, disillusioned, & self hating.

John Edwards is the right man to help fix america. He is far and away the best candidate in either party. It's sad that people from the other side write stuff just to beat him down. They should be standiing to help america rise up, not beat people down. Come on folks, haven't we had enough of that over the last seven years..

Neocons are frightened of John Edwards, he represents the biggest change to their agenda. Our nation is run by big corporations and their lobbies. John Edwards hasn't taken any funds from corporations and vows to take them out of the equation. I agree with Jerry, John Edwards is the right man to help fix America. The media is run by corporations and are pushing the Clinton and Obama platforms and until recently haven't covered John Edwards much.

I guess in a democracy, one votes one interests, as it should be.
Edwards is the only candidate who stands for the poor and middle class. All of the others from Clinton and NAFTA to the flat taxers, are ameliorating the burdens of the rich and corporate. Therefore, if most of your money comes from investments in the above, you should indeed not vote for Edwards.
But if you have to buy food, fill a gas tank, find medical insurance (if you can) all on a salary that hasn't kept pace with inflation, you might think hard about voting for anyone else.

edwards is the ony one thats worked his way up from sweeping in a cotton mill to where he is now i like to see any of the others last one week on the spare floor in a mill that is if they hadden sent the mills over seas ill vote for him and im a rep

The way he's holding his hands together in the photo denotes an attitude of superiority. Body language experts use "chapel hands" as an elementary lesson.
As an investigative journalist, when I talk to a person in authority and I see the Chapel Hands, I know I'm dealing with a condescending clown.

I am an Edwards supporter. But no matter who you support, it is hard not to notice the ongoing attempt by the corporate media to portray the Democratic race as a two-person contest between Hillary and Obama. Two recent pieces of evidence: On Fox News' "The Beltway Boys" Saturday, they did not even mention Edwards when discussing the Democratic race in Iowa. This is not reality-based -- Edwards is now leading in Iowa!
Today, again, Chris Matthews only asked his guests about Clinton and Obama when discussing Iowa. What gives here? It smells like corporate-controlled media, with instructions not to mention Edwards. Is anyone else as offended by this as I am?

I am voting for John Edwards. Simple. No lobbyists. What does that mean ? Hopefully he will neutralize, among others, AIPAC, cut all aid to belligerent, warmongering Israel, and demand peace and fair settlement in the Palestine/Israel area.I also have confidence that he will turn the health care industry on it's ear which is what we need. You really think Hillary will do that? Obama has to little experience, hell, he didn't even vote have the time, or was even there to vote!

Edwards has the momentum now that the people are focusing in the candidates, their records, platform and real ideas. Is not enough to talk about change but we need a leader with the guts to make that change. Edwards is the man! He will have my vote in caucus night.
It also shows that the people has the power to make changes, the middle close still strong, we are the ones that make this country great and it also shows that no matter how much money Corporate America, the Hollywood celebrities with hidden interests or individual millionaires buying access to power...no matter how much money they pour into the establishment or even worst, cleverly trying to use a "new candidate" as front face...and no matter how much manipulation of the big media at the end is the people, we the people the ones that decide the future of our country!
Go Edwards! You are the man of the moment!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edwards will win. He has the message and real ideas. He is a fighter and it shows, a hard worker, he has the courage to challenge the one candidate from the establishment and the other candidate with tons of money supported by Hollywood and the GOP party. The GOP strategy is to defeat Edwards so they can take on Hillary or even better take on Obama. They fear Edwards the most.
I am with Edwards because I believe his vision, strengths, courage and leadership and also because I want the Democratic party to win

TAKE A LOOK at all the obama/hillary spin/blog patrol comments!! i hope that ordinary people reading these comments understands that those campaigns have "messsage tested" the most negative things to say about edwards, and wrote a script for these people to spout out as they FLOOD the news sources and blogs.
go ahead, FEAR edwards, he's only the best candidate this country has seen in decades. you can fear him, cuz he gives the rest of us a real VOICE. check out johnedwards.com if you're at all interested in what a real president should be all about. he's right on the issues, just look.
i support edwards, and i have to say, i'm restless too, so i'll be up all nite probably too.

John Edwards is the candidate that everyone will be talking about after Iowa. Every poll shows he'll mop the floor with every Republican running and if there is one thing this country needs it is to rid itself of that crooked, incompetent bunch of idiots.
Posted by: Bill | Dec 30, 2007 8:43:11 PM
Sounds like the Right Wingies are a bit edgy over Johney's latest numbers so look for a massive acid bath if he wins Iowa. Will be a thing to behold...
