Edwards Tries to Appeal to Independents and Republicans
December 30, 2007 5:35 PM
ABC News' Raelyn Johnson reports: In his final plea to voters, John Edwards wants his message of fighting entrenched interests to reach beyond the Democratic Party.
“I want to be absolutely clear that corporate greed is destroying the middle class of this country and stealing your children’s future,” said Edwards during a “Countdown to Caucus” rally in Boone, Iowa. “It is stealing the future of the Democrats' children, Independents' children, Republicans' children. I’m telling you, this is a message and a cause we can unite America around.”
Edwards has long railed against corporate interests, and has steadily criticized his rivals on the issue. His message today marks a softened tone in his stump speech, a speech he’s hoping will reach more voters by appealing to more parties.

Edwards win in Iowa will make the Democrat race a real contest and that will be good for the party. He probably doesn’t have the same amount of money at this time than Hillary or Obama; but he has name recognition for real and people can easily be motivated to support his career. he has the best progressive ideas, real agenda and is working hard for the nomination. Edwards wants to change and re energize the Democratic party and is fighting for it, his message is clear and sound. When the big press give him enough coverage his message will reach across party lines to independents and some republicans fed up with Washington gridlock and the powers of big corporations and BIG MONEY.
Go Edwards! show that no one can buy the nomination, not even with the Washington oiled machine, lobbyists, big powers or big tv celebrities or big Hollywood and the controlled media.

Edward spent $400 single haircut, how many times has he donated $400 to help a poor homeless man off the street. If he so claims to be the guy to balme the poors out, while he spend his money in luxury.

Parts of Senator Dodd comments in Iowa yesterday:
Dodd went on: “But the idea that, for the last 10 or 15 years, because you’ve been next to events as they’ve unfolded somehow qualifies you to do this job is an exaggeration. That’s not experience. That’s witnessing experience. There’s a distinction.”
“Barack Obama, I mean, how — I mean, talking about the future and giving soaring speeches is very good, and it’s a good experience,” Dodd said. “But I don’t think it’s as deep as what people are looking for in a Democratic candidate that can win the election and bring our country together.”
Senator Dodd is right. The real alternative is Edwards. Edwards will bring people together and he will be able to win in red states. He will work hard for it. I'll caucus for Edwards in Iowa, he earned my vote.
