McCain Would Make 'A Really Good Adviser'

ABC News' Jan Simmonds reports:  During a campaign stop in Hampstead, N.H. today, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani said his Republican opponent, John McCain, R-Ariz., would make a "really good adviser."

The former mayor was asked that since he did not have Washington experience like McCain, how would he navigate through the likely complicated dealings with Congress?

“John would be a really good adviser,’’ Giuliani said. “He’s a good friend. This campaign’s going to be over at some point, John is a friend now, he is going to remain a friend then.’’

Looking more exuberant than he has in recent days, Giuliani went on to praise McCain calling him "a hero of mine" for which he has great respect.

He went on to say while that McCain may have more experience in Washington,  he had more executive experience.

“John has his assets, and strong points, and I have mine,’’ he said. “And I think that mine are that I’ve run a lot of things. I’ve been an executive. In government, out of government. I’ve had a chance to develop the things that you need to move large organizations. And to get large things done, and handle big crises and turn things around.”

In his two events in New Hampshire today, Giuliani spent much of the time taking questions from voters. He also, uncharacteristically, openly asked them several times for their votes and to get five or ten of their friends to vote for him too.

Tomorrow, Giuliani will make a visit to New York City's Hale House, which he has made a Christmas tradition the past 13 years.  At Hale House, Giuliani will meet with young children, bringing them gifts and reading Clarke Moore’s “A Visit From St. Nicholas.” Wednesday the former mayor hits the trail again, campaigning in his "firewall state" Florida.

Again, Rudy has a habit of picking the wrong people as advisers. Would you pick McCain as an advisor if told you that it was safe to travel in IRAQ, and that general Patraus travels around without security as he did ?

"Rudy Giuliani said his Republican opponent, John McCain, R-Ariz., would make a "really good adviser."" McCain could advise Giuliani of how to get people in wars and brought home in body bags. He's real good on corporate welfare. Giuliani is not fit to be president. He's a joke! And a crook to boot!

It makes me sad to see someone like McCain in the Senate as I always hoped he would do the right thing. The reality is he has no original idea's, and none to help people, only the rich!

McCain might of been a POW in Vietnam, but then he was an officer. When I was in Vietnam, the NVA did not take prisoners, especially enlisted.
They were executed. I have come to the conclusion that just as our experiences are far different, yet similar as well, his own power, like many others, tend to make them forget from where they came! They don't represent the people. They represent corporations and the wealthy. I think we have had enough of that!

Within the last year, Rudy stood before the TV cameras defending Bernard Kerik and Monsignor Alan Placa, two devoted friends accused of unconscionable crimes. Kerik was Rudy's mayoral chauffeur and ended up being commissioner of the New York Police Department, a partner in Rudy's consulting firm and Rudy's nominee to President Bush for director of the Department of Homeland Security.

greg and concordcan:
You're right McCain shoudn't just be an advisor to Rudy, he should be his
Vice President!
Guiliani/McCain or McCain/Guiliani,
a winning ticket!

Reagfan - Guiliani/McCain will never happen. Guiliani is pro-abortion, thus, he will never get the Republican nomination for President. He has to much political baggage. There our pictures of him dressed up as women and kissing Donald Trump. His own family does not support him. Did you notice that his Christmas ad only included him and Santa - no family - no children and he has been married several times. Have you seen the NY fire fighter's video exposing his treachery, lies and lack of foresight regarding 9/11. Need I say more?
