Romney Press Takes Off, Candidate Feels the Love

ABC News' Matt Stuart Reports: After a de-icing snafu, those aboard the half packed and caffeine fueled 50 seat Embraer serving as former Governor Mitt Romney's, R-Mass., press plane are finally getting comfortable.

The Associated Press and New York Times took their place in the front near the candidate, and joining on the inaugural flight heading from Massachusetts to South Carolina were senior advisor Ron Kauffman and consultant Stuart Stevens.

Once they wrapped up their morning talk (which could have been about Romney's evolving Iowa strategy or the predicted rise of McCain in New Hampshire, but from the vantage point 48 rows back could just have well been talk about the weather), Romney and Press Secretary Fehrnstrom made a trip back to the peanut gallery.

The former governor was relaxed in his blue suit and tie (he lost the jacket) talking about his preference for the Hampton Inn in Myrtle Beach (where we are heading tonight).

And it seems Romney felt some love on the Iowa campaign trail recently.

When asked about the weirdest moment he's experienced during the grueling Iowa drive, he cited the photo-line when a woman came up to grab a picture with him. But from the way Romney gestured, she also grabbed his backside.

It would be the second Iowa female who reached out to the candidate. One, a teenager, wanted to touch his perfectly coifed hair as if for good luck.

He didn't let his hair down much before being guided back to the front of the plane, although he refused to predict his hometown Patriots would finish the season undefeated because he wouldn't do "anything to jinx the Patriots."

And when it came to his new grandson, Nathan, Romney said he was a very cute baby, and because he was born by C-section he "didn’t look as weird."

"caffeine fueled", you mean Mitt allows the use of that terrible drug, caffeine? When he visits California, I wonder if he will call in the Feds to arrest cancer patients who smoke marijuana in front of him? Of course, this drug is legal in several States, but, who cares about State Rights, and the individual freedom of choice to use the drug that works for them. Mitt would rather put all those sick people in jail and take their property and assets.
