Obama: It's The Political 'Silly Season'
December 03, 2007 6:20 PM
ABC News' David Wright Reports: At the end of a long roundtabe on credit card policy, Sen. Barack Obama was asked if he'd like to respond to Sen. Hillary Clinton's latest.
"No," he said. But then he couldn't resist.
"It's silly season," he said. "I understand she is even quoting my kindergarten teacher in Indonesia."
Clinton's campaign sent out an email to reporters Sunday saying Obama wrote a 3rd grade essay about how he wanted to be President - suggesting Obama has been plotting a run ever since.
Obama's national spokesman Bill Burton responded saying, "next she'll accuse him of flip-flopping for telling his kindergarten teacher he wanted to be an astronaut."

Wow, Obama is a fast learner! He is following Karl Rover's advice in how to hit Hillary, "with humor and smile's.

Yawn...this election garbage should be forbidden by law before 3 months prior to the primary and 6 months prior to a general election. Plus, primaries can be held before March of the election year. It's getting to be as bad as Christmas sales starting in July. Pretty soon you're begging to hear anything besides a Christmas carol, up to an including Air Supply, Styx or Michael Bolton. That's sad.

Hillary Clinton is having a tough time hammering Obama. She is finding out the hard way that Obama is no dummy. He worked his way up the hard way with no father. He was raised by a single mom and he learned the facts of life the hard way. He was the editor of Harvard Review and taught constitutional law at Chicago Law School. Hillary is finding out that raw politics is what has made Obama very strong.

My guts tell me Hilary will lose all three early states.Just an Observer!

I don't think strong attacks against Obama will benefit Hillary. They will just make him look like an equal to her. That is why Coke doesn't have commercials saying "We're definitely better than Pepsi and everyone knows it.". If Hillary is so smart of a politician she should come up with a better counter to Obama's growing popularity then this.

I could never vote for Hillary she is too "Bushlike". I'll never forgive her for backing the Iraq War.

Obama shows is a quick learner, he listen and listen well even to Karl Rove advice how to hit Hilary with humor and smiles. So much for a leader of change. Obama is a very calculating slick politician. Like for example in Iran, he has the audacity to call Clinton on the vote on Iran while Obama himself missed the vote on Iran, a very calculated move so he didn't needed it defend it afterwards. Same thing with Jena, he didn't supported quickly because the didn't wanted to be seen marching next to Jackson, Sharpton so he would be offending his white supporters. Same with Katrina, he got there late only to make one splash with his friend Oprah and while promoting his books. I have to give him credit, he is very very clever, and have good backers, I am sure he will lead changes in the country! but for whom?
That guy started running for president from day one in the U. S Senate and has missed 80% of the votes. All he has done for the last couple of years is promoting his books before in Oprah, then running for President. Guess who has the rights for the movie on his books? Oprah...the sweet Oprah.
I have to admire Obamas audacity for change, he started with himself first, from a almost unknown-nobody in Illinois to God.
Let's wait until the Republican machine start hit him with all the "real attacks." We'll see what he really is made of, and we all know the real Obama.

I'm impressed by how Obama is attacking Clinton. Smiles and jokes all the way, especially for someone as ice cold as Clinton.

Does anyone out there really believe that in today's 'America' there are any up front and honest U.S. government candidates that really want to look out for the American citizen? Give me a break.... they all have hidden, dark and dishonest agendas. dirt slinging is typical of U.S. politicians but some just use it better than others, which brings me to question the intelligence of the Clinton's. If it's a close call when it gets down to the wire Obama will turn on his fan and sling crap into it.

I'm not entirely clear on why it's negative to have had a lifelong presidential ambition.
