Richardson Calls on Another "President" to Help on the CampaignTrail
December 27, 2007 8:32 PM
ABC News' Sarah Amos reports: Gov. Bill Richardson, D-N.M., will be getting a celebrity buddy on the campaign trial in Iowa next week.
While other candidates have trotted out rock stars and actors, Richardson went straight for the Commander in Chief -- or at least someone who played one on TV.
Former West Wing star and Democratic Party-activist Martin Sheen is set to fly out to Iowa the morning of Dec. 30 and spend two days campaigning for Richardson, according to sources close to the campaign. Sheen will be joined in the Des Moines area by his grandson Taylor, who is actor Emilio Esteves' son. They will also be joined by Richardson's wife Barbara.
Sheen has been quoted in the past as a Richardson supporter and attended a Los Angeles fundraiser for him earlier this year. Sheen has been a long-time political asset to the Democratic Party and a favorite fictional President for many. The actor won a Golden Globe for his role as President Jeb Bartlett on the TV series The West Wing as well as several Emmys for other roles.

Richardson," when I become President, I,
I, I," you will do nothing Mr. Richardson, because you will not be the next President if the Iowa caucus has anything to do with it, Martin Sheen or not. Stop wasting Martin Sheen's time and everyone else's time.

I do think that Richardson could be a good asset in an Obama Cabinet. I do not think he is electable as President.

Just what we need, another candidate ready to sell the country out to Mexico and the globalists backed by a do-gooder liberal who is clueless.
